Superhero
Valentine Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I look in the mirror
See a girl that hides her past
A fate i share with someone
Anywhere on earth

Tell me why
Tell me when
Tell me how
Can we solve our fears?

Is it now
Was it then
Will it be
Our chance to learn from them?

This is only for the Superheros
For the brave
They're settled down in wonderland
Even you and me
Can have this strenght to save
Our dreams and hopes

X-men have their power
But i just have my voice
Through the midnight-hour
I'm brooding for the choice

Tell me why
Tell me when
Tell me how
Can we solve our fears?

Is it now
Was it then
Will it be
Our chance to learn from them?

This is only for the superheros
For the brave
They're settled down in wonderland
Even you and me
Can have this strenght to save
Our dreams and hopes

Once upon a time there was a young girl
She was so forsaken
Once upon a time there was a young girl
She was so forsaken

This is only for the superheros
For the brave
They're settled down in wonderland
Even you and me
Can have this strenght to save
Our dreams and hopes

Our dreams and hopes

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of the song "Superhero" by Valentine talk about identifying one's true inner strength and potential, and using it to overcome the challenges and obstacles in life. The artist sees herself as a girl who hides her past, just like someone else who could be living anywhere on earth. The recurring question in the song "Tell me why, tell me when, tell me how, can we solve our fears?" indicates the fear and insecurity that the artist is trying to conquer. She wants to know if there is a way to overcome these fears and avoid the mistakes of the past.

The chorus of the song talks about superheroes, but not in the traditional sense of fictional characters with extraordinary powers. Instead, the artist refers to superheroes as those who have the courage to face their fears and make a positive change in the world. The line "They're settled down in wonderland, even you and me can have this strength to save our dreams and hopes" inspires the listener to take charge of their life and work towards a better future, even if it seems impossible.

The last part of the song tells the story of a young girl who was once forsaken. This could be a metaphor for the artist herself, someone who might have faced rejection or disappointment in life. The song ends with the reaffirmation that anyone can be a superhero and save their dreams and hopes.

Overall, the lyrics of "Superhero" convey a message of hope, empowerment, and self-discovery.

If you’re not expecting a big movie company production then you’re gonna be OK. This film is a great little ride and the actress can hold her own. What a concept where the actress actually has fighting skills and a personality, Captain Marvel are you listening!

CommanderCronus

It's not the budget that counts. It's not the genre that counts, or even the acting. It's the story, always.

Looks like a student project, but I'll give credit where it's due, the fight scenes look well choreographed. This might have been better as a web series.

Brian F

disagree, the fight scenes were all sped up to ridiculous levels which took away from the choreography.

mmabri You realize that’s pretty common right? Especially in super hero flicks. Either that or shaky cam. But given how close to the action the camera is, it’s pretty clear they spent a lot of time choreographing the fight with the main actress and they look pretty good. It doesn’t look like an amazing movie but it does have a funny concept and good looking fight scenes. You don’t have to like it, but at the very least grow up and learn to give credit where it’s due.

Looks like Matthews settled for less the days.

Unfortunately, it was only a single movie. It was based on Indonesian comic book series. The producer was originally wanted to create a cinematic universe but it seemed they changed their mind in two days after the movie was released in Indonesia.

This movie feels really internalized. Like that scene were the guy said no producer was willing to make this film. It feels like the director for this movie was shutdown but multiple studios in real life and that frustration led him/her to make this movie independently. That's way that line was in there. It's the creator venting about their personal challenges and frustrations. Not necessarily a bad thing but it seems kind of limited/desperate.

true. one major fact is it's a total copy of kickass 1 & 2 movie. no originality in a sense. i would say kudos to perseverance but in retrospect it's really a waste of money/budget to be perfectly honest.
