The lyrics of Valsian's song Ausente describe the tumultuous emotions that come with the absence, and eventual presence, of a loved one. The opening lines express the pain of not having someone around, and how that lack can make the heart ache. Even in the singer's sleep, the absence is felt, so much so that they wake up crying from not knowing what it's like to know this person.

However, the second stanza shows the flip side of that absence. When this person does come, the longing to see them will be fulfilled.
