Van Velzen Lyrics

And I'm in deep, yeah I'm in deep love now baby
When she takes my hand, I'm under her command
And I'm in deep, yeah I'm in deep love now baby
Chorus:
And I just can't stop this feeling baby
I just can't let this feeling go
Cause when the moon is high
And the music plays
I lose myself, I'm a real bad case
And when she takes me to her secret room
I lose myself, so slap my face
I'm in deep
No matter how I try to keep the cool inside
I'm still in deep, I'm in deep love now
And there's no other way, I'm feeling lost and dazed
I'm in deep, I'm in deep love now, yeah
Chorus
Deep, deep, deep, I'm in deep love now baby
I'm in deep love now baby
Come on, come on, come on, come on
Come on, come on, come on, come on
Ooooh
Cause when the moon is high
And the music plays
I lose myself, I'm a real bad case
And when she takes me to her secret room
I lose myself, yeah
Cause when the moon is high
And the music plays
I lose myself, I'm a real bad case
I lose myself, so slap my face, slap my face
I'm in deep, deep, deep, deep
I'm in deep, I'm in deep love now,
I'm in deep, whohoo
I'm in deep love now baby
The lyrics to Van Velzen's song "Deep" describe the sensation of falling deeply in love with someone. The opening lines express how the presence of this person brings about a sense of melting in the heart. It conveys the singer's feeling of being pulled in towards someone and the absence of resistance against this pull. When the other person takes his hand, he surrenders to their command and willingly becomes lost in love with them.
The chorus is an admission of not being able to shake off the feeling of love he has for the other person. The singer expresses a sense of helplessness and describes how he loses himself completely whenever he is with them. The imagery used in the second part of the chorus speaks to the intensity of his feeling, how the music and moon create a hypnotic atmosphere that traps him completely. It is evident that the singer is aware of how they have captured his heart and that there is no escaping the deep love he feels for them.
The last stanza emphasizes the point made in the chorus by repeating the phrase "I'm in deep" more than once. The singer seems to fully embrace this feeling and accepts that he is lost in love with the person he is singing about. The song ends with the refrain "I'm in deep love now baby," as if to remind the listener that the intensity of the feeling has not dissipated.
