One of These Days

But you've got too much on your mind
Too much left to prove
No easy answers
You've got to work it out yourself
You won't hear anyone but you
The moment you stop looking
You'll never know the difference it makes
When you let go, and give up your chance
I'll come find you one of these days
We've got potential
But it's the future, you and me
When the coast is clear
You see the sunrise
I see your soul shine through to your eyes
When you're here
The moment you stop looking
Wherever you go, you'll be in the right place
You'll never know the difference it makes
When you let go, and give up the chase
I'll come find you one of these days
The moment you stop looking
Yeah, the moment you stop looking
Wherever you go, you'll be in the right place
You'll never know the difference it makes
When you let go, and give up your chance
I'll come find you one of these days
I'll come find you one of these days
I'll come find you one of these days
The song "One of These Days" by Vance Joy speaks about how we tend to be too focused on our own lives and trying to prove ourselves to the point that we can't seem to find the answers we're looking for. The lyrics urge listeners to work things out on their own and not to expect others to solve their problems for them. The chorus encourages us to let go of the chase and of trying to control everything, and to trust that everything will fall into place eventually.
The verse "The moment you stop looking / Wherever you go, you'll be in the right place / You'll never know the difference it makes / When you let go, and give up your chance / I'll come find you one of these days" suggests that when we stop desperately searching for answers and trying to make everything happen on our own, we will find that everything falls into place and that someone (maybe even the person we've been searching for) will find us.
Overall, "One of These Days" is a song that encourages listeners to trust in the universe and trust that the right things will happen at the right time if we let go of our need to control everything.

I love this song for some reason. I feel like this song represents the longing and dreaming in my soul (I know, dramatic). I really want to move to another country, not just move physically but become a citizen. Live life differently, maybe find someone along the way to spend some time with. Just to be truly happy and at peace with all and everything. I am always so anxious and can't stop thinking about the future, I am never in the present. I will live in Mexico City one of these days, it is my dream. One of these days.
