We On

That's filled with disappointment
We're maggots in the ointment
Just squirming to get free
And now the future's got
Much more than you can handle
Don't try to light a candle
And as we head for certain doom,
Don't give up so soon
'Til every one of us is dead
And vengeful Armageddon has arrived.
[Chorus]
'Cause we'll have a drink
And throw a parade
And greet the rapture
Screaming "Hurray!"
And hope someone jumps
On the grenade
But no one will
We'll all be killed
And we will thrill
As blood is spilled
And even the bravest
Of us run away
We'll all get laid.
'Cause you still got dreams
That haven't been pissed on
And you still got things
You'll never get done
And you'll keep on running
Like a rat on a wheel
And keep on wondering
What is the deal?
What was the point?
And how come it ends this way?
Well no one knows,
We've only got today
And as the lights go dim,
Don't think it's all so grim
At least we all go out together
Heading off to never-never land.
[Chorus: x2]
'Cause we'll have a drink
And throw a parade
And greet the rapture
Screaming "Hurray!"
And hope someone jumps
On the grenade
But no one will
We'll all be killed
And we will thrill
As blood is spilled
And even the bravest
Of us run away
We'll all get laid.
The lyrics to Vandal's song "We On" portray a cynical and nihilistic outlook on life. The opening lines, "Well, it's a great big world/ That's filled with disappointment/ We're maggots in the ointment/ Just squirming to get free" establish the theme of the song, that human existence is ultimately futile and insignificant in the grand scheme of things. The lyrics suggest that the future is bleak and overwhelming, and attempting to find hope or positivity is futile. The repeated phrase, "Let's curse the misery," further emphasizes the pessimistic tone of the song.
The chorus of the song provides a sharp contrast to the dismal verses, as the singer celebrates the impending end of humanity. The lines, "And hope someone jumps on the grenade/ But no one will/ We'll all be killed/ And we will thrill/ As blood is spilled/ And even the bravest of us run away/ We'll all get laid," paint a picture of a wild and reckless celebration of death and destruction. The repetition of the phrase "We'll all get laid" suggests that even in the face of apocalypse, human desire and lust will persevere.
Overall, "We On" is a song that offers a bleak and often uncomfortable perspective on life that some may find nihilistic and pessimistic, while others may appreciate the raw honesty and emotion that the lyrics convey.

Well. it's a great big world
The world is vast and unpredictable
That's filled with disappointment
And it often fails to meet our expectations
We're maggots in the ointment
As humans, we are insignificant in the grand scheme of things
Just squirming to get free
But we still strive for something better
And now the future's got
However, our future seems uncertain and overwhelming
Much more than you can handle
We may not be equipped to deal with the challenges ahead
Don't try to light a candle
And there may not be any hope for us
Let's curse the misery
So, we might as well embrace the misery and despair
And as we head for certain doom,
As we face our inevitable demise
Don't give up so soon
We should keep fighting until the end
'Til every one of us is dead
Even if it means everyone dies
And vengeful Armageddon has arrived.
And the end of the world is upon us
[Chorus]
We will still find a way to enjoy ourselves in spite of everything
'Cause we'll have a drink
We'll celebrate with a drink
And throw a parade
We'll have a parade
And greet the rapture
We'll welcome the end of the world
Screaming "Hurray!"
With joy and excitement in our voices
And hope someone jumps
We might even wish for someone to sacrifice themselves
On the grenade
To make the end more bearable
But no one will
But we all know that won't happen
We'll all be killed
We'll all die in the end
And we will thrill
But we'll still find satisfaction in the destruction
As blood is spilled
And as violence and chaos ensue
And even the bravest
Even the brave will falter
Of us run away
And we'll all die in the end, regardless of our bravery
We'll all get laid.
But we can still find pleasure in our final moments
'Cause you still got dreams
Despite everything, we still have hopes and aspirations
That haven't been pissed on
That may have been unfulfilled thus far
And you still got things
And there may be unfinished business
You'll never get done
That we may never be able to finish
And you'll keep on running
And we'll keep trying to make progress
Like a rat on a wheel
But we may feel like we're stuck in place
And keep on wondering
And we'll continue to question
What is the deal?
Why is everything so difficult
What was the point?
And what was the purpose of it all
And how come it ends this way?
And why must it all end in destruction and chaos
Well no one knows,
We may never truly understand
We've only got today
But we should try to make the most of the time we have left
And as the lights go dim,
As we approach our final moments
Don't think it's all so grim
We shouldn't despair, even in the face of certain doom
At least we all go out together
Because we are all in this together
Heading off to never-never land.
And we will enter the great unknown
[Chorus: x2]
We will continue to enjoy ourselves in spite of the circumstances
'Cause we'll have a drink
And we will still celebrate with a drink
And throw a parade
And have a parade
And greet the rapture
And welcome the end of the world
Screaming "Hurray!"
With joy and excitement in our voices
And hope someone jumps
And maybe even wish for a hero to emerge
On the grenade
To help us make it through to the end
But no one will
But in the end, it will be up to us
We'll all be killed
We will all die in the end
And we will thrill
And we will still find excitement in the midst of destruction
As blood is spilled
And as violence and chaos ensue
And even the bravest
And even the brave will falter
Of us run away
And we'll all ultimately face the same fate
We'll all get laid.
But we can still find pleasure in our final moments

I'm so fucking glad I've found you all. You don't know how (perhaps you do) desolate this world felt before I realized there were more who believed what I do. I suspect there's more like me, who are trapped in liberal bubbles with no escape. I hope one day, like me, they find hope
Gnomelord
There are alot of us my brother, most of us have felt what you felt and life seems so sad and lonley when you live in the liberal world. But now you have found us and we have found you. Which has made us all a little bit happier.

We will win. Not because if any higher power, but because we are right. Our ideals are truth, and even if i do not live to see this future I will fight with all my might so that my children or theirs may.
