The term Various Artists is used in the record industry when numerous singers and musicians collaborate on a song or collection of songs. Most often on Last.fm, compilation album tracks appear under the name of Various Artists erroneously because the individual artist is not listed in the album's ID3 information.

When Various Artists imploded, the Key brothers went on to form Either / Or.

A brief history of the song...
The original Beggin' was released in 1967 by "The Four Seasons" featuring the unmistakeably soulful voice of Frankie Valli. Obviously, it was a hit.
Since then, many bands have covered the song, however, it had not seen such great success until Norwegian hip-hop duo "Madcon" released their version in 2007 with some tweaks to the lyrics and the addition of rap verses. Personally, I prefer this version over their newer remix.
Lastly, Beggin' regained its fame and popularity thanks to the 2017 release by Italian rock band, "Måneskin", although it did not reach widespread viral success until the Summer of 2021, topping international charts all around the globe.
