The term Various Artists is used in the record industry when numerous singers and musicians collaborate on a song or collection of songs. Most often on Last.fm, compilation album tracks appear under the name of Various Artists erroneously because the individual artist is not listed in the album's ID3 information.
Compilation albums, for example.
Sometimes, single releases may be credited to Various Artists when their profits are going to charity and, usually in high-profile cases, are sometimes known by a group name. Examples include Band Aid with their releases of Do They Know It's Christmas? and USA for Africa with We Are The World.
Various Artists is also an actual performance name for Torsten Pröfrock, who runs the German DIN label. Torsten performs also as Dynamo, Erosion, Resilent, Traktor besides some others. He's a good friend of Robert Henke and since the Fall of 2004, he is a member of Monolake.
Various Artists was also a short-lived Bristol punk band formed by brothers Jonjo and Robin Key (originally from Birmingham). Other members were also simultaneously in Art Objects who went on to become The Blue Aeroplanes, the latter the Key brothers also co-wrote some songs and were involved in. When Various Artists imploded, the Key brothers went on to form Either / Or.
Various Artists also appear on tracks from musical theater soundtracks, due to the nature of having many cast members on one song, as well as an ensemble in some cases.

ALBION WILEY_
As a lifelong Ritchie fan( 50 odd years) I have tried desperately hard to like Blackmore's Night and have seen them live a few times .
I find the haystacks and hurdi gurdi a bit embarrassing to be honest and don't start me on the singer - if she wasn't stunningly attractive and his wife she would struggle to get in selling the programmes and tee shirts .
I ran my own business for 10 years and could have found my wife a job but she had the desire to be her own person and not rely effectively on my charity .
Yes this solo is definitely RB from first note but it's saying nothing new .... from someone who penned solos such as those in Light in the Black , Highway Star , Maybe next time etc etc it has a whiff of ' let's appease' the older fans to me.
I wanted so much to see my hero ' Rock again' and got my wish when he put Rainbow 🌈 together a few years ago .
Seeing grown men cry then ( including.myself ) was enough to remind me what RB means to us of a certain age.
It wasn't just the stunning musicianship or Clint Eastwood like moodiness or the posters on bedroom walls it was simply an obsession with a genius that is as strong today as it was at the Manchester Apollo in 1979 when seeing Ritchie changed my life forever and made me realise you were in the presence of a genius.
As much as it pains me to say it I believe it's better to remember his past rather than to witness a painful slide into mediocrity.
He has nothing to prove and I wish him , Candice and his young family well but when I feel the need to hear his music I will always seek out what I believe was his true music .
Maybe I am a sad nostalgic old fool but it genuinely upsets me to see him almost playing a characuture of his younger self

Only Blackmore can make stratocaster cry, and his tone is unique after all these years.

@Елена Свалива но гитара то плачет у него как живая

After the hard times comes the heavens. This what this song speaks about. It talks about hope and about the beauty of life. How a smile can change someone's day.
Love you all.
