The term Various Artists is used in the record industry when numerous singers and musicians collaborate on a song or collection of songs. Most often on Last.fm, compilation album tracks appear under the name of Various Artists erroneously because the individual artist is not listed in the album's ID3 information.

Sometimes, single releases may be credited to Various Artists when their profits are going to charity and, usually in high-profile cases, are sometimes known by a group name. Examples include Band Aid with their releases of Do They Know It's Christmas? and USA for Africa with We Are The World.
Various Artists is also an actual performance name for Torsten Pröfrock, who runs the German DIN label. Torsten performs also as Dynamo, Erosion, Resilent, Traktor besides some others. He's a good friend of Robert Henke and since the Fall of 2004, he is a member of Monolake.
Various Artists was also a short-lived Bristol punk band formed by brothers Jonjo and Robin Key (originally from Birmingham). Other members were also simultaneously in Art Objects who went on to become The Blue Aeroplanes, the latter the Key brothers also co-wrote some songs and were involved in. When Various Artists imploded, the Key brothers went on to form Either / Or.
Various Artists also appear on tracks from musical theater soundtracks, due to the nature of having many cast members on one song, as well as an ensemble in some cases.

It's been years now but I still comeback to this heartbreaking piece. I don't know why and how but this song really makes my heart ache. I remember this being played when Ji An tried to take her own life saying "I'm sorry, I can't forgive myself." Also when her father learns that he has a cancer on Christmas Eve and the day he died. One of the most heart wrenching ost used in a drama. No words. Just pure feelings. MY GOLDEN LIFE IS ONE OF THE BEST FAMILY DRAMA!

This is my favourite song from the drama.i cried everytime because they usually played it alongside with Taesu(JiAhn father ) I really felt sad throughout the whole drama as I watched him suffer ,the way people never appreciated his efforts really broke my heart 😭😭this is by far one of the saddest Korean dramas I’ve ever watched .All the actors did a great job on portraying their characters

this was such a moving piece of artistic work the writing, directing, acting ... left me speechless such a work of art, from the beginning to the end what a wonderful celebration of family and love, what an awesome father-child/children relationship... so many complex issues so beautifully illustrated.... fantastic cast and acting.. in all the K-dramas I've seen so far, this one has touched me the most deeply.. thank you Viki, thank you k-drama subbers.. beautiful piece of music.. tears flowed.

I thought Scarlet Heart is the most heart breaking korean drama I've watched. I think this is more heart breaking because it depicts reality. What breaks my heart the most in this series is their father's love for them (referring to Ji An's father).
