The term Various Artists is used in the record industry when numerous singers and musicians collaborate on a song or collection of songs. Most often on Last.fm, compilation album tracks appear under the name of Various Artists erroneously because the individual artist is not listed in the album's ID3 information.
Compilation albums, for example.
Sometimes, single releases may be credited to Various Artists when their profits are going to charity and, usually in high-profile cases, are sometimes known by a group name. Examples include Band Aid with their releases of Do They Know It's Christmas? and USA for Africa with We Are The World.
Various Artists is also an actual performance name for Torsten Pröfrock, who runs the German DIN label. Torsten performs also as Dynamo, Erosion, Resilent, Traktor besides some others. He's a good friend of Robert Henke and since the Fall of 2004, he is a member of Monolake.
Various Artists was also a short-lived Bristol punk band formed by brothers Jonjo and Robin Key (originally from Birmingham). Other members were also simultaneously in Art Objects who went on to become The Blue Aeroplanes, the latter the Key brothers also co-wrote some songs and were involved in. When Various Artists imploded, the Key brothers went on to form Either / Or.
Various Artists also appear on tracks from musical theater soundtracks, due to the nature of having many cast members on one song, as well as an ensemble in some cases.

I love this song! Can someone help me with the lyrics? This is what I got but last part is unclear:
Looked at the clock, and the clock struck one
I said now daddy hey we got fun
Be careful rocking with one steady roll
Looked at the clock, and the clock struck three
I said now daddy you’re killing me
Be careful rocking with one steady roll
Looked at the clock, and the clock struck six
I said now daddy you know a lot of trick
Be careful rocking with one steady roll
Looked at the clock, and the clock struck ten
I said going all in
Be careful rocking with one steady roll
Mia Basqua
My man rocks me with one steady roll
There’s no slippin’ when he once takes hold
I looked at the clock and the clock struck one
I said "Now Daddy, ain’t we got fun"
He kept rockin’ with one steady roll
My man rocks me with one steady roll
There’s no slippin’ when he once takes hold
I looked at the clock and the clock struck three
I said "Now Daddy, you a-killin’ me!"
He kept rockin’ with one steady roll
My man rocks me with one steady roll
There’s no slippin’ when he once takes hold
I looked at the clock and the clock struck six
I said "Now Daddy, you know a lot of tricks!"
He kept rockin’ with one steady roll
My man rocks me with one steady roll
There’s no slippin’ when he once takes hold
I looked at the clock and the clock struck ten
I said "Glory! Amen!"
He kept rockin’ with one steady roll
Here are the actual lyrics for the full song, originally recorded in 1929.

This song seems to get repetitive, and I feel that the sounds it uses are somewhat dull, but somehow whoever composed this created a true masterpiece, a perfection of the careful use of sound. I like focusing on the background music in this song, and I can hear how carefully and how precisely this was composed. This is truly a wonderful song that I will share with anyone I can. This song has been here for a while now, but it doesn't have a single dislike. That just says it all imo, this song is so damn good!

@Facky Na Xicht Yeah, I realized it soon after I posted this, but I forgot to remove it, and I still really like the song, so it'll stay, but you're right.
