The term Various Artists is used in the record industry when numerous singers and musicians collaborate on a song or collection of songs. Most often on Last.fm, compilation album tracks appear under the name of Various Artists erroneously because the individual artist is not listed in the album's ID3 information.
Compilation albums, for example.

Sometimes, single releases may be credited to Various Artists when their profits are going to charity and, usually in high-profile cases, are sometimes known by a group name. Examples include Band Aid with their releases of Do They Know It's Christmas? and USA for Africa with We Are The World.

Various Artists is also an actual performance name for Torsten Pröfrock, who runs the German DIN label. Torsten performs also as Dynamo, Erosion, Resilent, Traktor besides some others. He's a good friend of Robert Henke and since the Fall of 2004, he is a member of Monolake.

Various Artists was also a short-lived Bristol punk band formed by brothers Jonjo and Robin Key (originally from Birmingham). Other members were also simultaneously in Art Objects who went on to become The Blue Aeroplanes, the latter the Key brothers also co-wrote some songs and were involved in. When Various Artists imploded, the Key brothers went on to form Either / Or.

Various Artists also appear on tracks from musical theater soundtracks, due to the nature of having many cast members on one song, as well as an ensemble in some cases.

I love this song too. If you haven't heard it l'd recommend you check out Elizabeth Fraser's version which this one is based on. She was the singer with the Cocteau Twins and recorded this with a side project band called This Mortal Coil. Strangely, the song was written and recorded by Tim Buckley (in quite a different style) who's son Jeff Elizabeth dated many years later.

However a live version by Elizabeth and Robin I think is even better. I'll find the link. I found out an interesting fact about the song last night. The words are not Tim's. The lyrics were written by Larry Bennet and Tim set them to music. They collaborated on a few of Tim's songs and he went on to have a long career as a poet. There's a spoken version of the song with a bit of history woven in. Again I'll try and find the link.

Amazing piece!!! So very beautiful. Stumbled upon the film while isolating with Covid. Not being a big comic fan this film impressed me beyond.....and then this tune came on.....wow!!!! Music is my thing and this went straight to my heart. I felt everything and like so many others, I paused the film to research the track.

Critics are complaining there were many classic Snyder Slow-mo scenes in the movie. And here I am who thinks were not just enough slo mo scenes in the movie. Flash rescuing Iris and Cyborg's football games are some of the most brilliant slow mo shots in the movie.

It’s EXTREMELY OBVIOUS that the Slow-Motion scenes in Zack Snyder Comic-Book Movies are to make the movie 🎥 more like the Comic-Books they’re adapted of like “Watchmen”, “300”, “Wonder Woman” and of course “Justice League” and it is again obvious cause the scenes are slowed down cause they look like they should be put in the panels, pages 📄 and splashes of a Comic-Book and I know that what Zack does is totes 👜 4 shizzle GENIUS.
