The term Various Artists is used in the record industry when numerous singers and musicians collaborate on a song or collection of songs. Most often on Last.fm, compilation album tracks appear under the name of Various Artists erroneously because the individual artist is not listed in the album's ID3 information.
Compilation albums, for example.
Sometimes, single releases may be credited to Various Artists when their profits are going to charity and, usually in high-profile cases, are sometimes known by a group name. Examples include Band Aid with their releases of Do They Know It's Christmas? and USA for Africa with We Are The World.
Various Artists is also an actual performance name for Torsten Pröfrock, who runs the German DIN label. Torsten performs also as Dynamo, Erosion, Resilent, Traktor besides some others. He's a good friend of Robert Henke and since the Fall of 2004, he is a member of Monolake.
Various Artists was also a short-lived Bristol punk band formed by brothers Jonjo and Robin Key (originally from Birmingham). Other members were also simultaneously in Art Objects who went on to become The Blue Aeroplanes, the latter the Key brothers also co-wrote some songs and were involved in. When Various Artists imploded, the Key brothers went on to form Either / Or.
Various Artists also appear on tracks from musical theater soundtracks, due to the nature of having many cast members on one song, as well as an ensemble in some cases.

Bu neyin dalaveresi, ne bize gelin oldu?
Piyasa gelin oldu, birinin cebi doldu
Birinin deri koltuk hedefi, sefil oldı
Mal bir kitle doğdu, kürt rapi boğdu
Cap'i doğru takan bebe şekil oldu
Rap'i moda diye dinleme ruhunu ver gör olur bu türkçe rap'in ekinoksu!
Arkamdan Koş!, Arkamdan Koş! Arkamdan Koş!, Arkamdan Koş!
Arkamdan Koş!, Arkamdan Koş! Arkamdan Koş!, Arkamdan Koş!
Burası boks ringi, her bir roundda uppercut'a NOS bindi
Gerekiyor istikrar!
Ortada çok pislik var!
Elimizi kana bulamadan olmuyo değil tek sorunumuz istifdam!
Boş dalavere, dissmiss yap!
B*k, karadelik istikbal!
Karı gibi yap dedikodumu, biliyon ismim piyasada istifra!
Hala varken şansımız, ne diye duruyoruz
Hiç bi kazancımız yoksa dahi hip-hop bizim andımız
Bu müzik olmayacak lan utancımız, var inancımız
Ölüm dansımız Hip-Hop, anlıyorsan eğer
Arkamdan Koş!
Bu ritimde kafanı sallıyosan eğer
Arkamdan Koş!
Hala bi umut var diyosan eğer
Arkamdan Koş!
Bizleri serseri sanmıyosan eğer
Arkamdan Koş!
Arkamdan Koş!, Arkamdan Koş!, Arkamdan Koş!, Arkamdan Koş!
Arkamdan Koş!, Arkamdan Koş!, Arkamdan Koş!, Arkamdan Koş!
The lyrics of the song "The End" by Various Artists lament the state of modern rap and hip-hop music. The opening lines express a sense of disillusionment with the industry and its commercialization, wondering when did the music become a bride and when did the market take over. The lyrics go on to criticize the trend of materialism in rap, with people being born into wealth and hip-hop being flooded with catchy songs that lack substance. The rappers feel drained by this environment, and time seems to be slipping away from them.
Furthermore, the song talks about the destructive nature of a rap battle, with the rhyme scheme monster not recognizing any authority and devouring the opponent, ultimately leading to their exhaustion. It is also a commentary on the conformity of modern rap culture, which favors superficial aesthetics over creative expression, and the temptation to give in to the status quo instead of standing up for oneself. The song urges listeners to keep the fire of hip-hop alive, fight back against the establishment, and find hope in the fact that this music can still be a unifying force that speaks to people's struggles and dreams.

I finished yesterday "Rilla from Ingleside". I was listening to this music while I was reading what Walter wrote to Rilla before his death. I love them both and my heart die when I hear End. I love all books about Anne (Shirley) Blythe ♥️
