This group was so underrated in the 70's that it was a crime. Their voices and harmonies are exceptional and are even better when you hear them live! Absolutely one of my favourite groups of all time!

@JohnPreston888

Oh, for sure. A "covers" band...perhaps, but each of them were superb. A fantastic, almost indescribable blend. All the musicians deserved their place, all the vocalists deserved their place. Doo-wop magic. (I note that I'm not the only person to think that Den makes even Christoper Lloyd seem sane, and unlike, say..."Bez", he was not even close to being comic relief or a spare part.) At least the march of technology means that their legacy is not impossible to locate. Kudos, World-Wide Web and reliable Electrical Grid.

@RydeQueen

Absolutely agree. I saw them on 16th September this year, fantastic still

@davidgilroy1214

So true. They were fab!

@moemcgovern7345

I prefer the original version of this song.

@cb4ever104

First band I ever saw on my 14th birthday at the Glasgow Apollo in 79.

Darts, like The Manhattan Transfer (who also covered this song), are important. By going backwards into the history of pop they somehow helped it to go forward. In the era of (1) Disco (2) Late Prog (3) New Wave somehow Doo Wop was such an unexpected thing to re-emerge but the sound really cuts through and with all the features of that style (acapella, wide register of voices, relatively simple instrumentalization). It sounded very fresh at the time, and holds up well still.

The only band I've seen, in my 59 years, with FOUR lead singers, & every one of them brilliant at what they do!! 😁

@johnfoy2840

I agree James. Each one of those singers are truly awesome!!

@hexagon.multiverse

This sounds better every time I hear it. Good music ages well.
