Wow - I expected this to be vaguely reminiscent of Victor Borge's
hilarious stand-up comedian / virtuoso piano solos.:
that I first heard, many years ago, when I was a little kid.
No such thing though, beyond the gold standard musical qualities.
This set of variations proved to be incredibly educational
(maybe on a par with Leonard Bernstein's erudite Lectures)
while being hugely entertaining, and informative:
in the sense that the overlaid textual commentary taught me more than I ever rationalised before;
about exactly why these selected composers were (and still are) so great and immediately recognisable.
The superb performance was a privilege to listen to, making me smile and even laugh at times,
when it wasn't really a laughing matter, and brought ecstatic tears of joy to my eyes,
when there was no sadness to cry about, other than my own long lost opportunities
to achieve similar standards of excellence.
I am left in awe, and gratitude for the posting of this amazing video.

I feel like no matter how much praise your videos get in the comments I cant help but feel that people are sleeping on just how incredibly talented you are. This one 18 minute video has no doubt countless hours of work behind it and we all truly appreciate you for making these available!! Keep going!
