Grainger's music is amazing, my favorite compositions are his Colonial Song and The Warriors, but I think he was more known as an arranger. Especially because of Lincolnshire Posy

WOW!!! this made my day! i am a fanatical champion of Grainger's music. i have a slew of recordings on my channel. I can think of no other composer whose music I enjoy playing more than his. And the audience reaction towards his music in my own recitals has always been positive to a startling degree. i just never tire of playing and practicing it. Thank You so much for this post!

Unfortunately, Grainger's music is not played all that often In Adelaide,where he is buried.He does have a studio named after him in this city and a few years ago,there was a week of his music celebrated at the Town Hall.There is no doubt he had strong family ties in Australia and his museum in Melbourne promotes his music as much as they can.Although,he did live most of his life overseas,his strong affinity with the land of his birth indicates that in his heart he felt this was his true home.
