The group's name comes from joining Barry White's name with the song "Brava", by Italian singer Mina Mazzini.
In 2009 their self-produced demo Ídolo was released. Composed of ten songs, in which they show a clear influence of the Spanish pop of the 1980s, such as Nacha Pop and Radio Futura, spiced with disco music and reminiscences of new romantic. With this first album, they toured the Spanish geography and participated in festivals such as Sonorama, Ebrovisión, Electromar, SOS 4.8, Arenal Sound, Con V de Valarés, Lemon Pop, Indielx, B-Side, and Low Cost.
At the end of 2010, they participated in the Conciertos de Radio 3, an event broadcast on TVE and RNE.
In February 2012 they released their first album, Demasié, which was self-produced. The first official work in which they rescue cuts like "No gires" or "Radioactivo" from their first demo Ídolo, with the also producer of Second, Raúl de Lara in the musical production. As a letter of introduction, they release the video for their first single "Calor", a video with glam aesthetics and casual looks.
In 2014 they released their second full-length album, Arriva: 16 hours of play and 4 liters of energy drink, with which they entered the list of best-selling albums in Spain. With this new work, Varry Brava bet on electronics and toured Spain's main halls and festivals. At the same time, they were the authors of the official song of the sports newspaper Marca to support the Spanish National Soccer Team in the 2014 World Cup. After the release of their second album, two new members joined the band: Juan Tae and Germán Sevilla, the new bassist and drummer of the live band and regulars in subsequent studio recordings.
In April 2016 they signed with the booking agency Hook Management and, in turn, announced the release of their next album, Safari emotional, which would see the light on November 18 of the same year. For the occasion, they would count on the production of Jorge Guirao (Second) and Antonio Illán. Three months after the release, they begin a tour of more than 50 concerts, which ends with announcing a fourth album, Furor, scheduled for February 16, 2018.
On September 27, 2018, they released a new video clip with Alberto Jiménez (Miss Caffeina) in a special version of their song "Satánica".
In August 2020 they released their fifth album Hortera. With "Hortera", "Luces de neón" and"PlisDonGou" as singles. A year later they released again the song that gave name to the album, although this time in the company of the Argentine duo Miranda!
In January 2022 they participated in the Benidorm Fest, where they competed to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, with the song "Rafaella", coming in sixth place.
