My Devotion
Vaughn Monroe Lyrics
My devotion
Is endless and deep as the ocean
And like a star shining from afar
Remains forever the same
My devotion
Is not just a sudden emotion
It will be constantly burning
And your love will kindle the flame
To the dream I planned
I'm content to be your slave
Your wish is my command
And this sensation
Was never a mere fascination
Here in my heart one sweet day it started
Then with time improved
My devotion to you

Vaughn Monroe (October 7, 1911 – May 21, 1973) was a very popular radio, TV, and recording artist in the 1940s & 1950s. His adopted theme song, "Racing With the Moon", was heard on his radio and TV shows and was a popular song itself. In 1950, his recording of "(Ghost) Riders in the Sky" (Stan Jones) was a #1 hit for weeks, and it remains the song's standard version today. It was probably his "signature" song.

Thanks to everyone posting on Vaughn Monroe and this era of great music. I was only about 20 or so when I really discovered this great stuff. That was 40 years ago. I think I have good taste for all kinds of music. So much to enjoy and share!
