Wildfire
Vault 51 Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Don't wanna miss you.
Don't wanna miss you, from far away.
And I can't forget you. I can't forget you if you're wondering.
No I'm not dreaming.
Frame another empty page, and burn it into memory.
Though my eyes are closed, I'm learning to let go.

There's no way out of here.
No one to calm the fear.
The flames are growing higher.
Wildfire. Wildfire.

I'm gonna hate you.
I'm gonna hate you like I always, I always do.
So I'm gonna break you down, I'm gonna break you till you're wondering.
When will my nightmare end.
Frame, another empty page, and burn it into memory.
Though my eyes are closed, I'm learning to let go.

There's no way out of here.
No one to calm the fear.
The flames are growing higher. Wildfire. Wildfire.

I'm gonna break you down.
I'm learning how to let go.
I'm gonna break you down, I'm learning how to let go. Just let.

Frame, another empty page, and burn it into memory.
Though my eyes are closed, I'm learning to let go.

There's no way out of here.
No one to calm the fear.
The flames are growing higher.
Wildfire. Wildfire.
There's no way out of here.
No one to calm the fear.

The flames are growing higher.
Wildfire. Wildfire.

Overall Meaning

The song "Wildfire" by Vault 51 talks about the struggle of forgetting someone that you miss from afar. The lyrics are a mixture of conflicting emotions, at times wanting to let go, and at other times wanting to hold on to the memories. The phrase "there's no way out of here" is repeated throughout the song, symbolizing the feeling of being trapped in one's emotions and the inability to escape from them. The "flames growing higher" represent the pain and intensity of the emotion, raging like a wildfire out of control. Despite the heartbreak and difficulty of letting go, the singer seems to be accepting the inevitable and learning to move on.

Best under-rated band out right now. This is one of the best things our whole band has heard in a long, long time. We're all absolutely in love with the whole EP. Please keep up this sound. The dual vocals contrast so incredibly well! Instrumentals are on point, and the subtle keyboards and synths are the perfect addition! Can't wait to see what else is in store!
Much love from Runner Up, guys! <3
