Rocksteady
Venice Shoreline Chris Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Rock steady, steady with me
Rock steady, steady with me
Rock steady, steady with me
Rock steady, steady with me

Darlin'
I don't want to change the world tonight
Just tell me if it feels right
Darlin', this moment can never repeat
Will you rock steady, steady with me?

Rock steady, steady with me
Rock steady, steady with me
Rock steady, steady with me
Rock steady, steady with me

Darlin'
I don't wanna have to say goodnight
Not before we see the sunlight
Darlin', tomorrow can never be seen
Will you rock steady, steady with me?

Darlin'
I don't want to change the world tonight
Just tell me if it feels right
Darlin', don't fight it, you're already free
When you rock steady, steady with me

Rock steady, steady with me
Rock steady, steady with me

Rock steady, steady with me
Yeah

I just love this guy's style. Simple. Good. Anymore out there?

@adarrah168

I saw this guy ages ago. Some drunk idiot kept heckling him for not playing "3rd wave/punk ska" He finally had enough, charged into the audience and b*tch slapped the guy. Then got back on stage and played some covers from the Toasters 'Thril Me Up' album. Great stuff!!

@runcible4755

Wow... no one's commented on this in years. I picked up "The 4-Track Adventures of Venice Shoreline Chris" back in the mid/late 90's. Been listening to it ever since. "Rock Steady" is a great tune, though my favorite track is "Sammy Come A Jail." Cheers.

@carlosfreak77

muito bom..

@TheBrooklynDodger

Used to love this song so much in high school. Acoustic ska can be a great sound! Stupid question, but anyone know what kind of instruments are in the background? Is that an accordion? Or some kind of pump organ?

@thedoad

Still have this on VHS Moon ska real ska reel. Good old days.

@sfrstudio

sounds like a melodica to me. a keyboard that you blow into. lots of ska songs include it.
