Growing up with music in the family, her dream was already set. What first started with a guitar toy and children's poetry, grew into a 10 year experience as a singer-songwriter. Verena Ward started writing her first songs when she was just 10 years old. A little Indie Rock mixed with a delicate Pop, Verena lets the words dance on the music.
She looks up to Forrest Kline, the frontman of Hellogoodbye, and Michael Angelakos, singer-songwriter of Passion Pit. The way her lyrics are built up makes you think twice about the meaning of it. Figuratively or literally?
