these lectures go hand in hand with his book, which I adore. Please, take your spiritual education seriously! you don't really "own" a concept until you can teach it inside & out.
it's one thing to watch a video & be stimulated in a novel way, but real thinkers sit in a chair & lose track of the world as they become absorbed in the Ideas. the lecture is interesting; the book will transport you.
re-member that "education" means, "to draw out". in you is "understanding" -- what does it mean to understand? machines do not understand, they merely move bits of data around. You are beyond that. Being alive & possessing the capacity for Understanding, at once you entangle yourself with the ideas presented -- like a kind of wrestling match.
Ask yourself this: Where ARE the Ideas?
They are not physical! Only the mind can "grasp" them; this is why books are so truly vital!
The ah-ha you receive is what is so important, for it is in that moment that your mind (which is not a machine) has been brought into unity and rest ... with that which you seek. What is more worthy of your time ? Books TRANSPORT you; videos are interesting.
If you are at all serious about yourself, others, the world; if you know "there's something unique about me" ... you owe it to yourself to build long term, explicit memory, which will never come from watching a video once through. I felt the need to say that explicitly, bc the newer generations seem to have lost touch with sacred books, in favor of external temporary stimulation, which tickles you then leaves.
It's more about learning HOW to think than WHAT to think -- but still, the material Murphy presents in his pages is top notch fruit in the Tree of Knowledge, and will be consumed by those who love wisdom & value themselves.
It opens doors. The mind... takes you places beyond physical "bits" ... we live in a world where spirituality is all but dead, BEING replaced by "bits" ... of "data." THIS IS NOT CALLED THINKING. You must be DRAWN OUT of the body & transported to another Plane.

this guy is good, man. he has very engaging info. i have been looking at a lot of new age stuff and am continually disappointed that it most often ends up being nothing but a bunch of fluff. so it is good to find a guy like this that actually gives you something to think about.
