Veto Lyrics

In paper and pencils
I'm nothing more
Than a simple machine
I feel like running away
I've had enough
Of crushing digits
On a piece of paper
I just feel like
Letting it all slide
I'm up to here
In paper and pencils
I'm nothing more
Than the shit I own
I feel like
Letting it all go
I've had enough
Of crushing digits
I'm not worth more
Than I earn
I just feel like
Letting it all slide
The lyrics to Veto's song "Digits" express a feeling of frustration and a desire to escape from the constraints of material possessions and the pressures of the modern world. The references to "paper and pencils" and "crushing digits" suggest a sense of being stuck in a mundane, repetitive routine, perhaps related to work or school. The singer feels like they are just a cog in the machine, "nothing more than a simple machine" with no real value beyond what they can produce.
The repeated refrain of "letting it all slide" suggests a desire to give up on the everyday struggles of life and just let go of all the responsibilities and pressures. The phrase "I'm not worth more than I earn" highlights the feeling of being trapped in a cycle of work and materialism, where one's worth is determined by their income and possessions.
Overall, "Digits" speaks to a universal desire for freedom and a sense of purpose beyond material possessions and societal expectations.
