On his first album, Vicentico displays rythms from his past with the 'Cadillacs', Bossa Nova to gypsy and ballads. With strong drums in all his tracks, his voice and identity are hard to mistake. With 12 tracks, 11 of which are by him.
"Se despierta la ciudad" as the first single, refers to the city and how its becoming impossible to tell sheep from wolves. It is his most renown album.

Tengo 52 años y nací escuchando a Lara. Adoro al maestro y llevaba muchos años sin escuchar este nivel de interpretaciones de sus canciones. Natalia Lafourcade es un genio como intérprete, siempre innovando, creando y proponiendo con una sensibilidad, un gusto y una originalidad que solo poseen los grandes artistas. La incorporación de Vicentico es un enorme acierto de Natalia, que para estos toques se pinta sola. Lo siento por los que piensan que al maestro Lara se le debe seguir interpretando siempre como lo hacían Don Pedro Vargas o Toña "La Negra", pero a mi entender, y todo parece indicar que al de Natalia también, el genio de Don Agustín, da para seguir reinventándolo y reinterpretándolo de mil maneras. Todo el disco de Lafourcade es estupendo, pero esta canción, simplemente insuperable. No en balde Natalia es el gran ícono de todo un movimiento juvenil de gran talento musical.

Es una lástima que tengamos que asociar en escribir correctamente con el tema de la edad. Hemos descuidado la educación de las nuevas generación. Pero al menos yo he tratado de hacer mi tarea y puedo decir que mis hijas de 18 y 16 años, escriben con tus propiedad, sin faltas de ortografía y vocabulario bastante aceptable. Y no sólo mis hijas, soy maestro de preparatoria y cada día me esfuerzo en transmitirles a mis alumnos la importancia de un buen escribir en la cultura. Saludos.
