I still really love her music! Grew up with my parent's 8-track of this and just let the album loop over and over... and started seeking her other records as I got older. "For Awhile We Helped Each Other Out" and "Mr Allison" still get stuck in my head along with this! Thank you for the post! If only someone would discover the recordings that seem lost forever...

As a 5 year old little kid I had this single on 45rpm (flip side of "The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia") and I really loved it.

Same here. I might have been more like 8.

It totally was. My sister had the 45.

I remember when my older sisters figured that out.  They bought the 45 for "The Night...", but they liked this song better.

Thanks, I had forgotten where I heard it.  I googled it today when a piece of the lyric came to mind.  I couldn't even remember who sang it.  I must've had the 45 with it on the B-side.

My childhood memories of this song, never seen the lyric but I sing pretty close, and it improved my learning as well, thanks to my uncle who gave me the 45 vinyl that's how I leaned English

Love this song, too! Thank you for posting this.

This is so good and feels so real and makes me emotional, idk why, but in a good way.
