1. A b… Read Full Bio ↴There are multiple artists that perform under the name 'Victory'.
1. A band from Hanover, Germany.
2. An experimental artist from Detroit, Michigan.
3. A hardcore band from New Hampshire.
4. An alias of Robert Fleming, a multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, California.
5. A band from Minneapolis.
6. An inactive solo project of Oliver Francis, a rapper-producer based in Columbia, Missouri.
1. Victory was formed in Hanover, Germany in 1984 from the remnants of the band Fargo. Apart from bass player Peter Knorn, there were two guitarists, Tommy Newton and John Lockton, as well as drummer Bernie Van of Graaf forming the group. After they originally worked with singer Pedro Schemm - after a small interlude with the later Thunderhead shouter Ted Pullit - the singer Charlie Huhn joined, who had formerly played with Gary Moore and Ted Nugent. By recommendation of Scorpions guitarist Rudolph Schenker the band was guided by David Krebs' (of Scorpions and Aerosmith fame ) management.
2. Victory’s music is a fusion between Soul music and Folk Music. She was raised in Detroit before moving to New Jersey at age twelve. Whether Victory is performing classics or original compositions, she has a way of tailoring each song with her voice and guitar to fit her unique style. Some people say that Victory is in the lane of Tracy Chapman, Roberta Flack, and Nina Simone. But beyond those three, Victory brings an entirely new youthful element to the music world, an indescribable spiritual depth mixed with her youthful interpretation of sound influencing her artistic expressions. Moreover, Victory colors a lot of her musical arrangements with rich jazz chords as she is rooted and grounded in Jazz tradition.
3. Victory is a hardcore band from southern New Hampshire. They were formed in 2005 and played together for two years. They recorded a demo of 2 songs with most notable song being "breaker". They got a big fan base following and played shows in the boston area as well as the local new hampshire venues. They later went onto record a 5 song ep. Right after being recorded the band broke up.
4. Victory is the music project of Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist Robert Fleming who produces new songs that are at once fresh, familiar and focused. ‘Demonstrations’ was the first offering from Victory, a 7-song EP self-released in September 2011 and his first full length is set to see the light in April 23rd, 2013. Victory crafts a sound that is both a throw-back to psychedelic 60′s British rock as well as an homage to today’s thriving independent music scene.
5. Victory hail from Minneapolis and are formed from ex-members of Eightysixed, Pist & Broke, Subversives and The Virgin Whores. The collective experience of the members fit together well and gives off a chemistry that reflects in the tightness of Victory’s sound. Victory delivers straight up American Oi! like a steel toe to the face. Victory’s hard edged sound is fueled by lyrics based on the experiences of afghan war veteran and front man Dan and the bands struggles with being working class in a crumbling economy. Very promising debut EP ''Laced Up'' contains four juicy street punk tracks and there’s no dead weight.
6. Victory is the now-inactive alias of Missouri-based rapper-producer Oliver Francis. Though self-described as a 'band,' it was a solo project in reality. Under the moniker, he released one full-length project titled 'I Don't Want This Anymore', before moving on to other musical endeavors.
Under the Sun
Victory Lyrics

Like never before
Up on the tightrope of life
You can’t fight no more
- fight no more
visions of power and money galore
die in a flickering light
- fight no more
Suddenly you’re caught
- suddenly you’re tied
Yesterday is screwing
Your whole body and mind
Suddenly the streets
Lost their coat of gold
No one needs a loser – oh no
Cause life goes on
Time waits for no one
Under the sun
Cause life goes on
You’re here then you’re gone
Under the sun
Living dying fighting
Underneath the sun
Once you were one
Of the heaviest guys
Ruling your empire
Without fear or compromise
No compromise
Nothing or no one
Could stand in your way
Reckless and ruthless
We knew that someday you’d pay
Man you’d pay
Systems to left
Systems to the right
Everyone is busy
Trying to beat the other side
The winner takes it all
Power’s got control
No one needs a loser – oh no
Cause life goes on
Time waits for no one
Under the sun
Cause life goes on
You’re here then you’re gone
Under the sun
Living dying fighting
Underneath the sun
The lyrics of Victory's song "Under the Sun" reflect the theme of mortality and the ultimate futility of striving for power and wealth. The opening lines of "playing with danger, like never before, up on the tightrope of life, you can't fight no more" convey a sense of impending danger and helplessness. The song speaks of the folly of chasing after visions of power and money, which ultimately fade away without any real meaning. The line "yesterday is screwing your whole body and mind" expresses regret and the regrettable effects of past actions.
The chorus of "life goes on, time waits for no one, under the sun" emphasizes the transient nature of life and the inevitability of death. The lyrics suggest that no matter how powerful or successful one may be, death comes for everyone. The imagery of "living, dying, and fighting underneath the sun" conveys the idea that life is a constant struggle, fraught with danger and uncertainty.
The song also speaks of the downfall of those who once wielded great power and lived without fear or compromise. The lines "reckless and ruthless, we knew that someday you'd pay, man you'd pay" suggest that there is a price to be paid for unrestrained ambition and aggression. The lyrics embody a sense of disillusionment with the systems and processes that underpin society, where everyone is busy trying to beat the other side.

Lyrics
Trees will speak before you listen
Oh my god, no-one knows that
We can barely stand each other
It's not right, no it's not fair
Cause I'd wait anywhere for you
Would you wait for me?
Bleeding tears is the least of our problems here
We can moan our family's gone, blistered feelings
All we have's diseased organs
And I'd die anytime for you
Would you die for me?
Keep digging for the rest of your days
Say something please it's time to pay
Smoke crack for me, read jack for me,
At this time I'd let you spit in my face
I can only make you see the moon,
You can touch it but that's up to you
This is happening because of you
Stay special brother you stay true
We can change the world despite all our enemies
We're fighting on, listen to your heart and sing
Pray for love, it feels like a memory
If we hold on, there's a victory over the sun
Collapse in front of all of your peers
Stop bleeding, keep blocking your ears
Eating babies, drinking black brandy,
Squinting all night through your demonic haze
I can only make you see the moon,
You can touch it but that's up to you
This is happening because of you
Stay special brother you stay true
We can change the world despite all our enemies
We're fighting on, listen to your heart and sing
Pray for love, it feels like a memory
If we hold on, there's a victory over the sun
Victory over the sun
Victory over the sun
Victory over the sun
There's a victory over the sun

Literally in tears. This song is so powerful, and helped me so much through the hard times. Biffy Clyro is and will remain the best band in this fucking world.
@NickShillitoMusic
I fucking love this song. Opposites is a beautiful album, it's like the perfect combination of their older, darker sound and their new, more refined sound
