Cavalier
Vincent James McMorrow Lyrics

Speak until the dust
Settles in the same specific place
Light refused to go
Drink it from a cast and iron plate
Instead of cold milk
Was offered unripe
Instead of silence
Considered craven

Nothing made it seem
Hidden where the aging soil was pure
Pressed against the crease
Mountains become fragrant at the source
How can you stand this
Exotic angle
I read it somewhere
That they would lie still

I remember how cloth hung
Flexing with the forest clung
Half waist and high raised arms
Kicking at the slightest form
I remember my first love
I remember my first love

Unrelied I was called
Missing teeth out of favour
Nickel beach it was all
Gathering by the sundial

I woke hard
I woke heavy
For the half way stop
Five whole hours in
When I woke hard
I woke heavy with the live or parts

I remember how cloth hung
Flexing with the forest clung
Half waist and high raised arms
Kicking at the slightest form
I remember my first love
I remember my first love

I remember how cloth hung
Flexing with the forest clung
Half waist and high raised arms
Kicking at the slightest form
I remember my first love
I remember my first love

I remember my first love

Overall Meaning

The song "Cavalier" by Vincent James McMorrow is a deeply introspective piece that explores memory and the passage of time. The opening lines set the tone for the rest of the song, as McMorrow sings about speaking until the dust settles in the same specific place, and light refusing to go. The use of vivid imagery highlights the ephemeral nature of existence, and the fact that our lives are transitory and fleeting. This sense of impermanence is reinforced by the use of the cast iron plate as a metaphor for the impermanence of life, a reminder that we are all ultimately mortal.

As the song progresses, McMorrow delves into his own memories, recalling his first love and reflecting on the passing of time. He sings about how cloth hung, flexing with the forest clung, and half waist and high raised arms kicking at the slightest form. These verses contain a sense of nostalgia for a simpler time, and a longing for the past.

The final verse of the song sees McMorrow reflecting on his own mortality, as he sings about waking up hard and heavy with the weight of the realization that his time on earth is limited. Ultimately, "Cavalier" is a powerful meditation on the transience of life, and a call to reflect on our own mortality and make the most of the time we have.

Jaime Evade Watch Cavalier, Glaciers, and Red Dust..
The actors from the first two make an appearance.
It soon will become clear that they all lost someone. The man here is using sex and drugs to comfort him for his loss.    The woman in the second video "Glaciers" feels lost. She takes a walk down the road to find herself, and ends up back home. She dances trying to feel some sort of memory or something. I'm not sure.  She then goes into the trailer home, and makes breakfast for two, despite that she's alone.
In the last video "Red Dust" the actors from the other two videos are outside the trailer home. Both of them are wearing all black(as if they attended a funeral) Approaching is a new actor. When she reaches the trailer, the man confronts her, he tries to tell her something but she just wants to get inside and ignores him. He gets pretty aggressive, and starts yelling at her(perhaps reprimanding her for missing the funeral), the second actor from "Glaciers then grabs the girl and takes her into the trailer. When she gets inside she locks herself in a room. She begins shuffling through porn magazines, then takes a gun a takes aim at the wall.
It seemed she was reminiscing about something. She then dresses up in men's clothes and shaves her hair, but not before drinking from one of the many liquor bottles in the room. She smokes a cigarette after
then goes to lay down in bed.

I'm thinking the first actor and the last actor are brother and sister(in the videos) and the second actor is their mother. The person they lost was their father. Probably liked to do "manly" things like shoot guns, watch porn/have sex, maybe drugs, he clearly drank.
Which could explain why the boy in Cavalier was drinking and going from girl to girl. He may have been coping by doing what his old man taught him.

I could be wrong about this, but it's all there. And it's leading enough.
