dans la foret lointaine
on entend le hibou
du haut de son grand chêne
il répond au coucou
coucou, coucou, coucou fait le coucou
houhou, houhou, houhou fait le hibou

Overall Meaning

The French nursery rhyme, Dans la forêt lointaine (In the distant forest) is a catchy little tune that's perfect for a singalong. The song starts by painting a picture of a forest that's far away, beautiful and serene. The lyrics say that 'one can hear the owl from the top of its tall oak tree and all around the forest, the owl is responding to the cuckoo. The cuckoo's cooing sound is replied to by the hooting sound of the owl'.

The main theme of the song is the peacefulness and tranquility of nature. It also beautifully presents the theme of communication and response in nature. The cuckoo and the owl both communicate with each other, each answering the call of the other. The song, therefore, can also be seen as promoting the idea of cooperation and harmony between all living beings.

@ZoeThibursShinSoohyo, merci beaucoup pour ces paroles. Je pense juste que vers la fin, ce n'est pas "l'aïe est rouillé" mais "la dérouillée", sinon top pour le reste qui semble correspondre au poil :-)
