Along with Yngwie Malmsteen, Tony MacAlpine, and others, Moore is often cited as one of the greatest shred guitar artists of all time.
Vinnie endorses Ernie Ball MusicMan guitars, and constantly supports them by doing clinic tours, also, he recently got a new amp sponsorship.

He absolutely smokes most of the other 80s and 90s shred guys and if he picked up a Strat, Les Paul or other guitar without hot pick ups he has the tone and tasteful blues and blues rock licks to get on stage with anyone from Van Halen, Steve Luthaker and Warren Dimartini (on the more modern end of the Rock spectrum) to Joe Walsh, the late Gary Moore, Joe Bonamassa
