Norwegian musician, born in the 80's, and composer and producer behind the epic electrofunk project Vinter in Hollywood.
In July 2007 Vinter dubbed the industrial noise/club that went down in the studio, Vinter in Hollywood. Later that summer a Noir video was created for the song "pain control".
Raised in the extreme metal and trance scene of the 2000 era, the influences were many. The diversity of his sound was nailed when the french disco scene came to Vinter's attention in 2001. And on top of this movement in France, the inspirations were clearly bound to 80's electrofunk and breakdance music.
In January 2008 he made "Virus", which was broadcast almost immediately after arrival at the radio station NRK P3, Norway's biggest radio channel for youngsters and hip new music. The receptions were wide and diverse but, all in all, it seemed to be the start of something big.
Since then a lot has happened in VIH HQ, an album soon to come, being nominated for the prestigious award "Årets Urørt", which is an annual award for young upcoming Norwegian artists.
The Flame
Vinter in Hollywood Lyrics

Though you are the flame, the fire learns to take a life
To burn you down, to twist your mind
To burn your crown
All though you are the same, this fire burns
Your picture in my frame as the fire learns to take a life
To burn you down, to take your dreams
Question, I have a question for you
now what would you do if the fire gets strong
Though you are the same, this fire burns
Though you are the flame, the fire learns to take a life
To burn you down, to twist your mind
To burn your crown
All though you are the same, this fire burns
Your picture in my frame as the fire learns to take a life
To burn you down, to take your dreams
To burn your crown
The lyrics of "The Flame" by Vinter in Hollywood explores the idea of the destructive power of passion and obsession. The song begins with the idea that the fire burning inside someone is consuming them and causing them to burn with intensity. The lyrics suggest that although the person is the same, the fire is taking control of them and is destroying everything in its path. The fire is portrayed as a force that can cause great destruction and take away everything that is important to someone, including their dreams and aspirations.
The chorus repeats the idea that the person's frame is still the same, but the fire is learning how to destroy them. The lyrics suggest that the fire is becoming more intense and powerful as it continues to burn, and that it could eventually consume everything in its path. The singer asks the listener what they would do if the fire got too strong, emphasizing the idea that passion and obsession can be dangerous and destructive.
Overall, "The Flame" is a cautionary tale about the destructive power of passion and obsession. The lyrics suggest that while passion and intensity can be powerful motivators, they can also be dangerous and destructive if not kept in check.
