I really appreciate that Violet went in deep with commentary taking in consideration fashion and drag at the time of each season, the fashion references and especially how she didn't go for the usual looks and queens that get on the lists. i met violet in dublin 2 years ago,she was the one i was the most scared to meet as she is like 7 feet tall in heels and she was just so GORGEOUS and had resting bitch face but she gave me the tightest hug and complimented me SO much,had such friendly conversations and let me take so many pics! the worst queen i’ve met was pandora omg NIGHTMARE! she was my fav queen for years and when i met her she didn’t say hello she just looked at the camera waiting to take the picture, i bought her fan with her face on it and i held it up and was like “i bought this because i love you!” and she didn’t move her head to look at me she just kept her head still and moved her eyes slighting and said “.....thankyewwww” in the most bitchy tone ever! was so sad! but yeah, love violet!

I love these choices because they aren´t the more conventional ones.
Some of my favorites are Nina Flowers´ drag on a Dime, Raja´s Christmass runway, Alaska´s Cotton Candy, Kim Chi´s make over challenge. My all time favorite is Violet´s 8th season finale Look, I remember I gasped when I saw it and nothing has ever surpassed it.

Jihyo’s Smile is the best I think people need to stop labeling as “fashion queen” any queen who’s young, skinny and pretty, who would look young, skinny and pretty even on a potato sack. For me the label fashion queen should be applied to queens like Raja, Detox, Violet, Shea, Aquaria and Nicky. Queens that study fashion designers and history much like an artist studies the old masters, that know about materials and the craft of constructing a garment, that could very well direct a fashion collection if they had the opportunity.
That’s not to say there’s no value in what others do. Pageant queens like Trinity have had amazing fashion moments without being a fashion queen. And there are queens like Kim who do head to toe looks that have more to do with the whole concept than about playing by the rules of fashion. But you just can’t call fashion queen any girl who just looks pretty, call them “model queens”, “beauty queens” or something else.
