When she won OT2008, she formed the "Labuat" project, with the music duo The Pinker Tones and publicist Risto Mejide.
Risto Mejide is a songwriter for the group, The Pinker Tones are the producers and Virginia contributes mainly with her vocals, although she also writes some of the band’s songs and lyrics.
In 2009, Labuat released their self-titled debut album, who peaked at number 2 on the spanish charts. So far, two singles, “Soy tu aire” and “De Pequeño”, have been released. In May 2009 the band was the opening act for Beyoncé Knowles in Barcelona, during her I Am… Tour.
In March, 2010, during an interview for OperacionTriunfo.com, Virginia Labuat announced that, due to time conflits, the Pinker Tones will not produce the new album, leaving her as the only initial member of the project working on the second album.
The new album will be released in march 2011 and will include her own compositions, in both Spanish and English.

In the twilight of the morning your face I can dream
If I´m singing of the raindrops everything reminds me of you again
and the end shows me wondering just how could I guess you
but I feel that I wouldn´t be with you, my nightmare in the end
Trying to keep cool if youre close to me
dreading my luck, (mmm) if you love me not, stop, the time is now.
Trying to keep cool if youre close to me
searching for you in the faceless crowds
dreading my luck, if you love me not, stop!
Yeah, yeah, yeah ahá (x3)
When you saved my soul I knew that I could want you more and more
Trully every song was dedicated to you and you alone
I imagine your hands holding me, make believe
And Ill write you more love letters, but Im melding back to me.
Trying to keep cool if youre close to me
searching for you in the faceless crowds
dreading my luck, if you love me not, stop, the time is now.
Trying to keep cool if youre close to me
searching for you in the faceless crowds
dreading my luck, if you love me not, stop, the time is now.
Trying to keep cool if youre close to me
searching for you in the faceless crowds
dreading my luck, if you love me not, stop, the time is now.
In the twilight of the morning your face I can dream
The lyrics to Virginia Labuat's song The Time Is Now appear to be about a person who is deeply in love with someone, but unsure if their feelings are reciprocated. The first verse begins with the singer dreaming of the person they love in the morning twilight. The singer then says that everything reminds them of this person, and they wonder how they were able to guess that they were in love. However, they also have a feeling that they won't end up with this person and that they will ultimately become a nightmare.
In the chorus, the singer is trying to keep cool when they are around the person they love, and they are constantly searching for them in crowds of people. However, they dread the thought of the person not loving them back, and they urge them to stop if they don't. The second verse continues with the singer's feelings for the person they love, saying that every song they hear is dedicated to them. They imagine their hands holding them and write love letters to them, but they are slowly losing themselves in the process.
Overall, the lyrics seem to express the uncertainty that comes with being in love, especially when you're not sure if the other person feels the same way. The singer is torn between their feelings and their fears, and they are desperately searching for any sign that the person they love might feel the same.

@atlantic_stone
perfecta canción, preciosa dulce y peculiar voz. esta chica es de otro planeta!
@IrbinconB
