The band's original members were singer-songwriter-guitarist Rachel Flotard and drummer Ben Hooker, both formerly of Hafacat; and Kim Warnick, formerly of the Fastbacks. Warnick retired at the end of 2004, but Muffs co-founder Ronnie Barnett signed on to play the bass during the band's 2005 tour.
Visqueen's song "Vaxxine" has received frequent airplay on U.S. independent radio stations.
Rachel Flotard also writes a love advice column for Seattle-based online publication Three Imaginary Girls called Love is Hard with Rachel Flotard, where she dolls out spirited, sharp-witted advice for the love-lorn.
Look Alive

Who's feet were born to follow yours
Give me the answer
Because I'm sick and tired of straightening you out
You think your life is over
But it's only just begun
But look alive, you're not the only one
I wonder if she knew
How much it cost till you laid her down
Give me an answer
Why don't you tell me one thing
That I've been waiting for since you came to town
You think your life is over but it's only just begun
You think tonight's for closure
But look alive, you're not the only one
It was such a long time
And you were just my kind
And I'm so glad you're alive
It was such a long time
You were just my kind and I'm so glad you survived
You think your life is over but it's only just begun
You think tonight's for closure
But look alive, you're not the only one
You tricked your life and ripped all sides of a wish tonight
When a quarter past too late still works to call you
Look alive, you've just been born
The song Look Alive by American rock band Visqueen is an energetic and rebellious track that combines punk rock and power pop elements.
