She began her career by posting a video and four original songs on her MySpace page. Shortly after, she was signed to SRP/Universal Motown in June 2009. Fellow Bajan singers Rihanna and Shontelle also got their beginning with SRP Records. She was born in Vancouver, Canada, but grew up in Barbados.
She was the opening act at the November 2009 Thanksgiving Day NFL half-time show featuring a Motown Review by the future of Motown. Vita sang "Heat Wave". Vita's first single, "Young Money," was released in early March 2010. Her EP The Get Go was released in March with five songs. Her second single is titled "Like Boom." She has been compared to singer Fefe Dobson. She was on tour with teen sensation Justin Bieber during the second leg of his tour, July 28 - September 4, 2010. Her biggest fashion influence is Gwen Stefani. Vita's music has a pop rock feel, and she is very chic. Her YouTube channel is "VitaChambers."

Following the smash single ‘Fix You‘ and the second promotional single ‘What If?‘, both released in 2013, Canadian/Barbadian singer-songwriter Vita Chambers is finally back to the music scene.
The singer has signed a new record deal with Gold Note Productions Ltd. and is currently working on her awaited debut album, scheduled to be released this year.
The new single is called “A+D” and it was released on digital retailers on Wednesday April 30th. It’s a powerful R&B/dance production where Chambers returns to a sound more like her first single, again showing all her vocal potential. It’s a subtly powerful grower!
The orchestral edit of the song was released on iTunes on May 27th. The music videos for both versions of the song were premiered on her Youtube channel on July 11.
