In 2005, Vitalic's debut album, OK Cowboy was released on Different / PIAS Recordings. Pascal states that all of the instruments used in the album are synthesized. His official website states that "the only thing he can't fake is the emotion that galvanizes his music."
His song "Trahison" from OK Cowboy was used in the trailer for the 2007 French film Naissance des Pieuvres. His song "Poney Part 1" was featured in the Pleix film Birds. It was announced by Festival Republic that Vitalic would be playing both the Reading and Leeds Festivals in the UK in August 2009.
Vitalic's second studio album Flashmob was released in 2009. The first single, "Your Disco Song" is available for streaming at Vitalic's MySpace page. He has spoken a great deal about the new disco influence on Flashmob.
Poney Part I
Vitalic Lyrics

Working in the funfair,
Thought it was reality,
But it was not - was a nightmare.
Forced to around a pick,
Turning round - to kick again,
It was not reality,
The lyrics to Vitalic's song Poney Part I are open to interpretation, but one possible meaning is that the singer is expressing feeling trapped in a repetitive, menial job that feels like a nightmare. The metaphor of a pony working in a funfair suggests a childish or carnival-like environment, which contrasts with the bleak tone of the lyrics. The repetition of the phrase "it was not" creates a sense of uncertainty or confusion about whether the situation is real or imagined, and the final line suggests that the nightmare may extend beyond the workplace.
The use of electronic music in the song adds to the sense of artificiality and repetition, with the beat resembling the sound of a machine or conveyor belt. The lyrics may also relate to broader societal issues such as exploitation of labor or the dehumanizing effects of mass production. Overall, the song paints a bleak and disorienting picture of a life without meaning or agency.

I'm just a little pony,
I am a small and helpless individual.
Working in the funfair,
I am employed in a place of entertainment and amusement.
Thought it was reality,
I believed that what I experienced was real and true.
But it was not - was a nightmare.
However, it turned out to be a terrible and frightening experience.
Forced to around a pick,
Compelled to move in circles around a pole or a stake.
Turning round - to kick again,
Revolving rapidly in order to strike with a powerful blow once more.
It was not reality,
It was not genuine or authentic.
But it was not only a nightmare.
Yet it was more than a mere bad dream or a figment of my imagination.
