Machine
Vixen Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Suckin' up, suckin' up to hypocrites
Sums up my days
Movin' up, backin' up, I'm like a
Monkey in a maze
I think a lot but then I don't remember anything
Nobody hears
And I don't even know how I got here
Here in this gray abyss
Does anybody really have a chance?

Chorus :
Well I am just a volunteer
I am not an entity
It amazes me to tears
Alone in your machine
I'm not some faceless pawn
That you can tread upon (3rd chorus : that you can trample on)
No more tears
Alone in your machine

Cleanin' up, pickin' up your messes
Is how I survive
You pull the lever
To get me started
You keep me running till I don't remember anything
'cause I'm expendable
I'm sick of livin' like today's tomorrow
And I wanna step outside
Right into never never land

(Chorus)

(Solo)

(Chorus)
And I wanna step outside

Overall Meaning

The song "Machine" by Vixen is a commentary on the frustrations of being trapped in a monotonous lifestyle. The verses describe the singer's daily routine of sucking up to hypocrites, moving up and backing up like a monkey in a maze, and thinking a lot without any memory of what's been accomplished or heard. The singer then questions whether anyone really has a chance at breaking free from this gray abyss. The chorus reveals the singer's frustration with being viewed as a mere volunteer and not an entity, and the feeling of being alone in someone else's machine. They assert their identity by stating that they are not a faceless pawn that can be tread upon, and there will be no more tears being alone in this machine. The final verse speaks of the inevitability of cleaning up and picking up messes to ensure survival but being exhausted and feeling expendable. The desire for stepping outside to never, never land is an indication of longing for escape and freedom from this life.

The theme of the song is relatable to many people who feel trapped in a cycle of monotony and unfulfillment in their lives. The lyrics touch on the struggle of wanting to be acknowledged as an individual, not just a cog in someone else's machine. The powerful guitar solo in the middle of the song showcases the frustration and angst of the singer.

1.1.20. @ the 9:25 mark you talk about the smaller of the two valves on the hopper. What we called the action in the Wastewater industry is Decanting a tank or basin. You may want to label your valves. A superb video describing your machine❗️A well thought out machine with what looks like quality Electrical & mechanical hardware.

Hello. Why is there not-passivated welds inside the machine?

hokiturmix

I have extended experience with this machine. Hungary Miskolc Remy. :D

The only real suggestion i may have that you use some umbrella because of the vapor from the smoke-stack fall to the top of the machine and it is hard to remove afterwards....

G'day,
How much media would you use on an average job. Let's say a small engine and parts taking say 1 hour machine time.

Axis Vapor Honing Industries

Media would last around 40 hours for glass beads. Media is reused or flows back to the hopper for reuse.
