A lot of people are ragging on this video, but I really like it. To me, a cover means giving a song your own perspective. No, it doesn't have "that original sadness" that so many people are complaining about, but that's because they took it in a different emotional direction. I think they interpreted it more as looking back on the memories happily because they were HAPPY memories. I think it's a great take on the song.

+lexis muncy "Disney Pixar movies" are dispatched as follows: creation = Pixar, money = Disney. So, it's a Pixar film. Disney produced it. The contracts do not specify Disney can interfere with the artwork. But still, in the animation industry, artists kind of switch from one studio to another, so, they are all mutually inspired.
Yet, you can tell Pixar films are not Disney films. Plots are usually better, characters are rounder and the animation is more daring.

It's not Jessie's heart in the movie, but there's still a lot of longing that surprisingly doesn't come across as romantic. It almost seemed like the soloist was remembering a close family member that somehow drifted away. Could be a theme song for a video for Alzheimer's awareness or something. Great job, Vocal Point.

I agree with other commenters that it's missing a bit of that sadness and loneliness from the original, but the lead-up to and chord at 2:45 is so rich that I'm totally willing to look past it. :)

Every time I listen to this arrangement and your voices, I'm moved, sometimes even to tears. I enjoy singing along to it because really it sounds beautiful. I think you pulled this song off wonderfully and I love how you put a sort of energy and feel in your voices. You can hear the longing and the wistfulness and I think that's amazing. I cried the first time I heard it on Toy Story 2. I remembered my dad who passed away a few years before that. Now I lost my mom, too. Sometimes I wondered how they both felt when my brothers and I started to live our own lives and spent less and less time at home. I wish I could have spent more time with them before they passed. I hope they knew how much we loved them.

I have a pretty good idea for a music video for this song. Starts with mostly first person view of relationship that was close, but not as intimate. Then, the guy (camera) builds courage to ask her to be with him, and girl fades slowly, seeing her less and less. *timelapse of her going out with other people* .Guy walks to place where they hung out, such as an abandoned church or something, and sees her there. They embrace at "held me just like she used to do, like she loved me" and as he hugs her, she fades away and he is embracing nothing at "when she loved me". Guy learns to think of their love as something to cherish and think of light heartedly, instead of sadly. Ends at his face, smiling with a tear.
