Members : The band includes vocalist/guitarist/band namesake Vaughan Rhea; his brother, Dave Rhea on bass; rhythm guitarist Garret Coleman; lead guitarist Todd Hackenburg; and drummer Jeff Irizarry.
Growing up in rural Tennessee, Vaughan Rhea's music sensibilities were shaped by LPs in his parents' record collection from songwriting heavyweights like James Taylor, Harry Chapin, and Cat Stevens. Deciding that Nashville already had too many wagons without a hitchable star, Rhea instead moved to Orlando, FL, and began playing the pub circuit as an acoustic solo act. But the soaring vocals and guitar-heavy sound of Pearl Jam's Ten made a huge impression on Rhea, and soon he had made the turn toward a more rocking sound. Vaughan and his brother, Dave, assembled a band, began to gig regionally, and were soon supporting such national acts as Third Eye Blind and Seven Mary Three. In 1997, Vonray released its debut, Panes. It was successful, and two years later the band re-released it, this time with four new songs. Producer Brett Hestla noticed the hoopla around the group, both in Orlando and regionally, and brought them in to record four new songs for an EP. The songs were shopped to the majors, and soon Elektra bit. A summer 2002 tour with fellow musical travelers and Floridians Creed followed, and in April 2003 Elektra released the band's self-titled debut. The LP gained valuable exposure when lead single "Inside Out" was included on the soundtrack to the WB Network's Smallville. ~ Johnny Loftus, All Music Guide

That's O.K.
Vonray Lyrics

Life it seems to lead me round in circles yeah, but that's okay
I can't worry ‘bout what I've been missing
If I could I'd take it back
I found out the hard way
Just exactly what I lack
Tell myself this time – that's okay
That's okay
Watch me go I know this road will take me on a holiday
Written on your face the look of desperation, gotta get away
Once I thought for sure I had the answer
Then it slipped right through my hands
But you and I both know
There's plenty of things that we don't understand
If I have to decide – that's okay
Tell myself this time – that's okay
That's okay
Wake up people it's time to start living
Take these thoughts as a sign of the times
You can't worry about what you've been missing
Come alive – You can come alive!
One step closer to where I might have started off yesterday
If I have to decide – that's okay
Tell myself this time – that's okay
If I have to decide – that's okay
Tell myself this time – that's okay
That's okay
That's okay
‘Cos I'm alive!
I'm alive!
I'm alive!
The lyrics of Vonray's song "That's O.K." reflect a sense of acceptance and resilience in the face of life's uncertainties. The singer acknowledges that life often seems to lead in circles, but comes to the realization that it's okay. They cannot dwell on what they have missed or the mistakes they have made, because they have learned the hard way what they lack. Despite this, the singer remains optimistic and decides to embrace their journey, even if they have to make tough decisions. They acknowledge that there are many things in life that they and others may not fully understand, yet they choose to keep going and find their own way.
The song carries a message of personal growth and self-acceptance. The singer realizes that they may not have all the answers, and that's okay. They encourage others to wake up and start living, to not worry about what they have missed, and to come alive. The lyrics suggest that life is a continuous journey, and that it's alright to sometimes falter or change direction. The repeated affirmation of being alive reinforces the idea of embracing life's ups and downs and finding the strength to keep moving forward.
