Neptune
Voodoo Queens Lyrics

Couldn′t act discreet
I was forever gone
But Neptune, Neptune
Any tune, any tune
I was somewhere
In the solar system
Anywhere
I was in Neptune, Neptune
Any tune, any tune
Neptune, any tune
Any, Any
I was in Neptune, Neptune
Any tune, any tune
Did I make a fool of myself?
I don′t think I did
But when I touched you
You flinched
I drank my vodka neat
Couldn't act discreet
I was forever gone
But Neptune
I was in Neptune, Neptune
Any tune, any tune
Neptune, any tune
Any, Any
I was in Neptune, Neptune
Any tune, any tune
Ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh
The lyrics to Voodoo Queens's song "Neptune" tell the story of a person who is lost in a world of alcohol and intoxication. The singer drinks straight vodka and is unable to act discreetly. They feel like they are forever gone but find solace in the idea of Neptune, the eighth planet from the sun which represents rebirth, spirituality, and creativity. The singer is transported away from their problems and lost in the vastness of space. The repetition of "any tune, any tune" in the chorus suggests that any kind of music can take them away.
The second verse describes the singer's dissociation from reality as they find themselves in the solar system, not knowing where they are. The repetition of "Neptune, any tune, any, any" reinforces the idea that Neptune is a safe haven where they can escape. The bridge of the song highlights the disconnect between the singer and the people around them, and they question if they made a fool of themselves in their inebriated state. The final verse repeats the first verse, emphasizing the singer's reliance on Neptune to escape their problems.
