Aye this a letter to the streets I hope you hear it nigga
Put all my pain inside these songs I hope you feel it nigga
I put my pride aside in hopes to see a bigger picture
A couple years from now I hope a nigga livin' richer
Straight to voicemail I’m sorry but I don’t feel like talking
Lil bro in jail I'm stressing hard every time I see him calling
I thought I made it high enough but a nigga still falling
I don't post my tears for them to see I know they still watching
Early mornings grindin' lead me to them late nights
Praying for my dawgs I hope they see the day light
And I got some shots for a nigga that’s talking if he don’t wanna play right
Before I fall in love with you, you said you’ll stay right
Young life and it's full of disappointments
And I heard they was on a nigga head for that unemployment
And them niggas robbing niggas now for they own enjoyment
Imma get my own bag I don't like it stolen
Before I go to sleep I make sure that I, pray
Thank you lord I don't know what else I'm supposed, say
I hope you getting rid of folks that in the, way
Hope I live long enough to see another, day
Aye this a letter to the streets I hope you hear it nigga
Put all my pain inside these songs I hope you feel it nigga
I put my pride aside in hopes to see a bigger picture
A couple years from now I hope a nigga livin' richer
FaceTime with a patna I prolly won't see again
Crossed by another nigga I used to call my friend
Envy and hate them niggas full of sins
Aye free young Day Day fasho and free my brother Syn
To take the pain away I prolly killed my liver and shit
Them niggas bitches they gon prolly pull the trigger and miss
I know they hate me they been sneaking me with diss after diss
I get to stepping imma hit with these fists after fists
Them yungings calling me a role model
I'm feeling low might drink the whole bottle
Make sure you take no shit from nobody
If you slip up that's on yo own body
Before I go to sleep I make sure that I, pray
Thank you lord ion know what else Im supposed, say
I hope you getting rid of folks that in the, way
Hope I live long enough to see another, day
Aye this a letter to the streets I hope you hear it nigga
Put all my pain inside these songs I hope you feel it nigga

I put my pride aside in hopes to see a bigger picture
A couple years from now I hope a nigga livin richer

R.I.P. Nate Dogg, just think of all the good music we're gonna miss out on. It is easy for others to imitate and sound like the other great artists but no one can come close to Nate Dogg.
