Nothing At All
W.H.A.N.Ds Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Every road I take there
It leads me back to you
And they'll be no turnin' back now
I feel it comin' through

And I can't keep holdin' on
'Cause I'm not that strong
(And) you're burnin' in my soul
The closer I get
I can't let you go

Out of nothin' at all
I can't face this world alone
And baby I'd die to make you know
I'd do anything for love

Out of nothin' at all
Baby I feel it all again
I'm fallin' deeper within
To the light after the fall

Out of nothin' at all
Tell me where will dreams go
Through the eyes of a fool yeah
Now I'm runnin to your ocean

Bab why let me drown in you
I remember how good it feels
When the love is real
Every time you call my name

Somehow I know
We'll find a way

Out of nothin' at all
I can't face this world alone
And baby I'd die to make you know
I'd do anything for love

Out of nothin' at all
Baby I feel it all again
I'm fallin' deeper within
To the light after the fall

And there with one touch
The world I knew came fallin' down
And I'd give up forever
For just one night

Love could show us why
We can never let it die

Out of nothin' at all
I can't face this world alone
And baby I'd die to make you know
I'd do anything for love

Out of nothin' at all
Baby Ifeel it all again
I'm fallin' deeper within
To the light after the fall

Out of nothing at all

Such a good movie, love awesome/awe inspiring movies like this...

"What did Fast and the Furious teach us? Besides great old films such as this?"

"Actually, the Fast and the Furious taught us modern day issues and problems of modern day issues of differences and multi-cultural problems that bonded everyone together through the machine called an automobile."

"People view things the wrong way and live their life a "quarter mile at a time"

"Do we not all live life a quarter mile at a time?
What was wrong with the Fast and the Furious?"

"Glorification of street life, ghetto life, somewhat cheating the system of the automobile manufacturers' intent"

"And what is the the intent of the automobile manufacturer's intent?
Pursue life and forget everything that matters to you to get that Lamborghini Diablo or Ferrari F40?"

"The cause and effect of a Supervehicle, every single time a Lamborghini or Ferrari starts it destroys the environment, it kills the life around it."

"What the Hell are you talking about?"

"Do you know how an engine works? Do you know the amount of oxygen a Lamborghini or Ferrari intakes to produce that instant amount of power?
Are you amazed by it's good looks and violent sounds?
Do you know anything about the Apollo Project?"

"What?"

"Get a fucking Prius or electric vehicle and thank me in 50 years"

"What?"

"Do you think we will be alive in 50 years, or the planet itself?
If we all drove a Ferrari or Lamborghini we would literally suffocate to death"

"What the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck........."

"TESLA, buy one, invest in it, or Nissan, I heard they're Leaf is doing very good"

"Are...what...wtf..."

Smacks person across the face

"You are inspired by stupidity, that noise was originally made popular by dying engines-dying vehicles...
They are not going to last much longer on the road."

I love this scene so much. Its very rare but things like this happen in real life and are the definition of divine providence. This movie felt like it was able to capture what it would really look like in this scene. The way he closes his eyes, releases the reigns, and gives himself away was powerful. You feel like John Dunbar is special for the rest of the movie.

The general finding him afterwards and saying "we've got an officer that's worth something here." I took it to mean yes he's suicidal but he still made himself useful, riding past the line, using up their ammo and distracting them. That still takes guts.

Downhomesunset

The general didn't know that he was trying to kill himself. He managed to keep that a secret

Kaiya Mya

Yeah, in the book it's clear to Dunbar that the general misconstrued his suicidal charge as an act of bravery, and he didn't have the heart to correct him on it.

I donā€™t think weā€™ll ever see a scene like this in movies again. It elicits so many feelings in me, and none of them feel like they were forced on me, or presented to me in a ham- fisted way. I hope we get past this current era where all messages and themes lack nuance.

Not all, but a lot.

This scene was very powerful to me. I sobbed. I'm in the darkest state of depression. Though I won't off myself........this scene made me choke up because this is how I feel. Arms open and welcoming the end while the world continues firing away................I am 58. If you ask me why...what's wrong ?....I can not honestly give a reason why. Nothing. There is no reason.

Geoffrey Uloth

Depression is rough and it often doesn't need a reason. You just need to get past the worst of it, my friend, and force yourself to do something positive for yourself each day while you deal with it, and then everyday after that. You deserve it. I'm thinking of you, bud.
