Anthony Tremaine Dixson was born on August 30, 1989, in Compton, California, where he was also raised and was a member of the church choir. His son, Darius, was born June 24, 2009, and was the catalyst for him to take music more seriously. In 2010, he enrolled in recording courses at Long Beach City College, using financial aid money to purchase recording equipment. He is also a single father of his son, working in part-time jobs, and eventually, rapping became his full-time career.
Boogie's musical career started when he joined the First Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church choir in 8th grade under the guidance of his mother. While a member of the choir, he was introduced to gangbanging and slowly began to make the transition from gospel to rap. On June 24, 2013, he released his debut mixtape Thirst 48, which chronicled his life and struggles. A year later, his debut was followed by his breakthrough mixtape The Reach, which was released on June 24. He signed a deal with Interscope Records in 2015. His break-out single, "Oh My" was released in 2015 and produced by Jahlil Beats. In 2016, Boogie released Thirst 48, Pt. II via Interscope Records, a continuation of his debut mixtape from 2014 that also deals with new themes such as Millennial reliance on social media. In October 2017, it was announced that Boogie signed with Shady Records. He was featured in the digital 2017 BET Hip-Hop Awards Detroit Cypher and made an appearance behind Eminem in his solo freestyle. His first release from Shady Records was "Violence", a collaboration with Masego, in December 2017. The release was followed up by two more songs in 2018 - "Self Destruction" in May and "Deja Vu" in August. He has gained praise from Rihanna, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar. Boogie is currently managed by Love Renaissance (LVRN). He opened for 6lack alongside Tierra Whack on 6lack's world tour. Boogie's debut album, Everythings for Sale, was released on January 25 with melodic singles like "Rainy Days", "Silent Ride" and "Self Destruction". The album includes guest appearances from Eminem, 6lack, and JID, among others.

WESTSIDE BOOGIE Lyrics
(Shit, shit crazy)
(Alright)
(Yeah)
Promise I'll be alright
I been placin' my value off relevance in your life
Promise I'll be okay
Tell me that I'll be straight
Honestly this been feeling like some shit that I can't shake
I need power to be present
Teach me how to stop deflecting every time you show affection
See my ego break to pieces every time I stand corrected
Hate I gotta bump my head to fully understand a lesson
Part of my progression is knowing I should forgive you
Got this blanket full of lies to cover up how much I miss you
Runnin' from my issues, don't give me your praises
Just want you to know that even heroes still need saving
So tell me who gon' save me?
That's why I'm always saying
Promise I'll be alright
'Cause I been placin' value off relevance in your life
Tell me I'll be okay
Tell me that I'll be straight
Honestly this been feeling like some shit that I can't shake
Smh, fuck
Ayy, I don't know why you keep shaking yo head
If anything I should be the one shaking my head, because
It ain't no way you still a bitch ass nigga and you be in therapy
(Turn me up a little bit in my headphones)
(Turn it down a little bit)
(Yeah, yeah)
Pray for my niggas
Look at my dog, his rhythm off 'cause he hesitating
Calm as can be, just know it's all in the preparation
My text messages full of bitches that's SMH-ing
Remember days I was making hate up for motivation
Got reservations, he treat his fame like a prison I know
That nigga cappin', he want his name to be bigger I know
Now he a pack and he just a strain of some shit that I smoke
Rappers is bitches I know
Do I fuck with them? I don't
You know the quote it go
"Do the most," extra'd out
Niggas make me anxious, smoke a ounce before I headed out
Niggas make me
Hold on, let me
Let me put this blunt out real quick
Let me get right, Keezy roll another blunt
(Yo, yo, check, check)
My power come from the highest
You gon' be by us, ain't biased
Need re-alignment, I'm tired
These niggas lying like I ain't the one that told 'em
I been up
I been back
I been down
I been flat
I been jacked
No, that's cap
Never that
Bet it back, you better
Nigga act like we don't see him
Nigga think he gon' get pussy 'cause he bragging 'bout his demons
Look at bro tryna distract us from the fact that he just tweakin'
I can't let you get no pass, I'm on yo' ass, I gotta bleed him, gotta
Shit, shit
Dawg, why you hesitating?
Calm as can be, just know it's all in the preparation
Calm as, ah, fuck
Fuck this shit
