The group was initially announced in October 2017 through Makestar, a crowdfunding website, in which fans would be able to support the creation of the group's first album.
Since their pre-debut announcement, We Girls has gone through numerous line-up changes; starting with Jaina, Hyeni, Yehana, Woori, Vivian, Julie, Hal Park, Lina, and Suha. Following that, Jaina, Woori, Vivian, Lina and Suha would leave the group. A new member, Cindy, would join in their place but would later also leave the group before debut. New members E.You, EunA, Ellie and JungA would be added to make the final lineup. The final line up that the group would debut with would be E.You, Hyeni, JungA, Yehana, EunA, Ellie, HaL, and Nina.

I got here by looking up more about Hot Place, then finding out they were originally BadKidz, and that one of the members left predebut to a group called HOTTIES, but they disbanded and that two of them came here to WeGirls, and this is how I got here.
