Filthy
WSTR Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

My therapist ain't feelin it
He needs a break, thinks he should quit
Boy suck it up and deal with it
You a lazy bones, need to get a grip 'cause
I, I'm struggling, I'm not gonna lie
What am I paying you for?

Cry your filthy heart out
What are you so mad about?
Unless there's thin ice, we don't skate
Stuck in a generation we hate
It leaves a bitter taste
So we all just stay the same

Hey hey

So I freshened up and cleaned a bit
I started eating Weetabix
Still fuck it up but I roll with it
Cling onto my relationships but, why?
We've all got problems, what about mine?
What am I paying you for?

Cry your filthy heart out
What are you so mad about?
Unless there's thin ice, we don't skate
Stuck in a generation we hate
It leaves a bitter taste
So we all just stay the same

Cry your filthy heart out
What are you so sad about?
Unless there's thin ice, we don't skate
Stuck in a generation we hate
It leaves a bitter taste
So we all just stay the same

Boy open up or things only get harder
It comes and it goes, it stems back to your father
The man who'd stay clear unless I won the lottery
I would rather stick it back in economy
Some to my friends, I know they think a lot of me
You think I owe you, you need a lobotomy
I hope you quiver with guilt at the thought of me
Let it all out man

Cry your filthy heart out
What are you so mad about?
My therapist ain't feelin it
Ain't feelin' it
Ain't feelin' it (God help me)

Cry your filthy heart out
What are you so mad about?
Unless there's thin ice, we don't skate
Stuck in a generation we hate
It leaves a bitter taste
So we all just stay the same

Cry your filthy heart out
What are you so mad about?
Unless there's thin ice, we don't skate
Stuck in a generation we hate
It leaves a bitter taste
So we all just stay the same

This song is not a cry for help
It's a cry for attention
We can have a bad day without being put on the spectrum
We are all the same
And we can sing like

Hey hey

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of WSTR's song "Filthy" are about struggling with mental health issues and therapy that may not be helpful. The first verse mentions the singer's dissatisfaction with his therapist and how he feels that he is paying for his therapist's lack of effort. The chorus encourages the listener to let out their emotions and cry, regardless of how "filthy" or difficult it may be. The second verse mentions the singer trying to improve his life by eating healthier and trying to maintain his relationships despite his mental struggles. The bridge of the song delves into the singer's relationship with his father and how he feels that his friends don't truly understand him. The final chorus repeats the message to cry and let out emotions, and the last line emphasizes that everyone is the same and should be able to express themselves.

Overall, the song Filthy speaks to the challenges that individuals struggling with mental health issues face when trying to seek help. It highlights the struggle of being vulnerable with others and how it is not always easy to find the right support. This shit slaps HARD. Very well put together. The little sounds and ad-libs make it even better and the harmonies are dirty af. Good shit boys

@kabelosehanka8302

If you think this is generic and sounds like any other pop punk song, well TOO BAD. it's Pop Punk it's not supposed to be technical or anything. It is what it is. It's catchy, easy to play, stupid, repetitive and most importantly it is fun, both for the bands and the listeners. This song's awesome, great job WSTR 🤘😂🤘

@zackargyle7967

@mrplut0

Reminds me of old school Sum 41 on the verse and 2007-2008 pop punk on chorus
