We often feel directionless and unsure of where we are going

Do we have the power to change our lives and determine our own fate?

I can relate to feeling like a failure when I cannot meet the expectations of others

With feeling like I've failed to meet everyone's expectations
I often feel like I have let others down when I cannot live up to their expectations

When every definition of success becomes different
Success means different things to different people, making it hard to achieve

It's hard to really feel like you're making a difference
It can be challenging to feel like our actions are having a positive impact on the world

Dare to be different, to break the mold
We should not be afraid to be unique and challenge societal norms

Live your life with intention, go forth and be bold
We should live our lives purposely and courageously

Why do we try to overcomplicate the things
We often make things harder than they need to be

That used to be so simple?
We complicate things that were once easy to understand and do

So step back, you'll be able to see
If we take a step back, we can get a better understanding of the situation

That your purpose in life is not just to be
Our purpose in life is not solely to exist, but to thrive and make a positive impact

I've come to grips with the fact
I have accepted that

That I'll never be able to change my own past
I cannot change the things that have already happened in my life

But I've found strength in divine perspective
I have found strength in my spiritual beliefs

It took me twenty one years to realize
It took me 21 years to understand

Hope, love and faith are how we survive
Hope, love, and faith are the tools we need to endure life's challenges

Grace sustains me, pain has ending, there's still
I am sustained by grace, my pain will eventually end, and there is still hope for the future
