Wages Lyrics

Memory
You see
Where I'm going
You mean
Everything
And give back
All I had before
Moving
Escaping
Growing
Entropy that is
Eclipsing
All I can't ignore
I took a look
And it took me under
There's no recover...
In "Eclipse" by Wages, the lyrics seem to revolve around the idea of change, moving on, and the inevitability of time. The opening lines "Hold me, Memory, You see, Where I'm going," seem to indicate a search for comfort in memories of the past. It's as if the singer is asking for something to hold on to, something stable and reliable as they move forward into the unknown. This is reinforced by the next line, "You mean everything, And give back all I had before," which seems to suggest that the singer is clinging to memories of a happier time, perhaps looking for a way to recapture a sense of belonging.
The rest of the lyrics continue this theme of change and growth, with lines like "Moving, Escaping, Growing, Entropy that is." It's as if the singer is trying to embrace the turmoil and upheaval of life, acknowledging that growth and change can be painful, but ultimately necessary. The final lines of the song, "I took a look, And it took me under, There's no recover," seem to indicate a sense of resignation, as if the singer has come to terms with the fact that change is inevitable and that they must simply endure whatever comes their way.
