Oh Baby
Wake Owl Lyrics

the minds way of hiding you
and I was feeling kind of insecure
and babe let's be honest now
we still don't know much about
the fantaties we have
and all of our own
surely you got a way
but take it easy on the magic ship
watch it take over me
enlighting and disorder me
oooooh
I f*cked with your mind silly girl
I did'nt have to ride away
I did'nt have to go their way
surely there's other things
like my feever to deliver things
and show this place some candy for a sunny day
watch it take over you
enlighting and disorder you
ooooh
I f*cked with your mind silly girl
I didn't have to go their way
I didn't have to ride away
I f*cked with your minds silly world
I did'nt have to ride away
I didn't have to go away
Oh baby why
In Wake Owl's song "Oh Baby," the lyrics are somewhat abstract and open to interpretation, but there are a few themes that stand out. Throughout the song, the singer is expressing a feeling of uncertainty and vulnerability. The opening lines suggest that there's something indescribable about the subject of the song, some aspect of them that is hidden or unknown. The singer is feeling insecure and seems to be asking the subject to be honest with them about their fantasies and desires. Later on, the subject is described as having a way of "destroying" the singer's faith or sense of security, but also as taking them on a "magic ship" that enlightens and disorder's them.
As the song progresses, the singer starts to reflect on their own actions towards the subject. They admit to "fucking with [their] mind," but also express regret that they didn't need to "ride away" or "go their way." There's a sense that the singer is wrestling with their own uncertainty and insecurity, and that they may have inadvertently caused harm to the subject as a result. The final line of the song, "Oh baby why," seems to encapsulate this feeling of regret and the singer's desire for understanding and connection.
Overall, the lyrics to Wake Owl's "Oh Baby" are quite poetic and introspective. They touch on themes of vulnerability, desire, and regret, and capture the complexities of human relationships.
