Waldeck later went to law school (though his heart was still with music). He finished law school and became a copyright lawyer. Then he heard about a case that changed his focus from law back to music.
"It was during the time when George Harrison got sued for ripping off an old Motown tune," Waldeck recounts, "I realised the way forward was to work a melody until it didn't belong to anyone anymore."
He eventually stopped focusing on law altogether and concentrated on music.
Soon after his decision to leave law completely he moved (along with all of his electronic music equipment) to England. While in London, he met his vocal counterparts, former Incognito singer Joy Malcolm and Brian Amos, who worked on projects such as Pressure Drop. The three have been with each other ever since.
In 1996, Waldeck returned to Vienna, Austria and produced the Northern Lights EP, quickly gaining international attention through its biggest hit, Aquarius. A successful full length album, Balance of The Force, followed in 1998. Later that year, Balance of the Force - Remixed was released.
Waldeck has produced a multitude of albums while still in Austria. Unfortunately, however, many of them are out of print and are very scarce. The out of print albums include The Night Garden Reflowered, Balance of the Force, Balance of the force Remixed, Northern lights, and This Isn't Maybe.
Sometimes described as trip-hop Klaus's songs have a very calm and laidback theme. They often consist of mellow vocals sung either by Joy Malcolm or Brian Amos (although sometimes they consist of only Klaus's instrumentals). While some people have mixed feelings towards the male-female vocal fluctuations, others feel that they offer versatility in the sound while still maintaining the unique style of his music.

I can stare for a thousand years
Colder than the moon
It's been so long
And I've been putting out off the fire
With gasoline
Red light jungle burning bright
Those who feel me near
Pull the blinds and change their minds
It's been so long
And I've been putting out off the fire
With gasoline
Putting out off the fire
With gasoline
See these tears so blue
An ageless heart that can never mend
These lyrics are from the song "Cat People Dub" by Waldeck. The first two stanzas of the song talk about the persona's intense stare that he describes as green and capable of lasting for a thousand years, resulting in colder eyes than the moon. He's apparently been fuelled for too long, and now he needs to stop burning himself out by adding gasoline to the fire. The third stanza continues by describing the persona's eyes as red like a burning jungle light, where those who can feel him nearby come running to his aid. They're able to sense his passion and the heat that comes with it, causing them to pull the blinds and prepare to change their life for him, knowing that they can't resist it. The persona narrates his struggle with his burning passion, which seems to have lasted for an extended period, but he's been trying to douse it with gasoline. This could be interpreted as adding fuel to the fire, which is usually counterproductive to the goal of putting out the fire.
Overall, the lyrics of "Cat People Dub" are enigmatic but passionate. They appear to depict someone who has been struggling with a powerfully intense emotion for a long time, utilizing everything in his power to put it out, all while surrounding himself with people who can feel his passion but not mend his broken heart.
