The first album was composed and produced by Miikka Hillos, K. Kaivola, and J. Black. After many singles and two albums, Waldo joined a crew of several singers in order to create a new project: Waldo's People.
2 - Michigan's Waldo has wowed us with each effort following his impressive debut project, Pick Your Own Poison (PYOP), released November '12 through AGO and Soulection. The next sizable offering in his catalog of truly captivating music is the two-part, ten-track EP entitled NSDE/OUTSDE.
And while it's an audible achievement every bit as exciting as the one preceding it, engulfed in the same irresistible eccentricity lending success to the former body of work (thanks largely to Sango's reappearance behind the boards), it becomes apparent while listening to NSDE/OUTSDE that it's a degree of honest exhilaration to it that is unknown to the former art of the artist. Waldo is rapping no longer out of sole enthusiasm, but out of purposeful habit, and the ennobling sounds of NSDE/OUTSDE afford his language an avenue to tread ebulliently upon.
3 - A five-piece garage folk/alt-country outfit from San Diego, CA. The band consists of Emmet Dreyer, Sam Fisher, Francisco Garcia, Lucas Moore, and Marc Van Thillo.
4 - A studio band put together by super producers Willie Lester and Rodney Browne. The band was comprised of James T Brown (bass, lead vocals), Tyrone Lester (lead vocals), Calvin Koko Brunson (keyboards/synthesizers), Melvin Harrod (guitars) and Perk Jacobs (drums). Their lone album, Love Don't Grow on Trees (1982), is a mixture of up-tempo funky grooves with a couple of delicious soulful mid-tempo tracks that showcase the bands natural talents and thetight and infectious production of Lester & Brown.
Feel So Good

My baby's comin' home
And I hope that he won't fail
But I feel so good, ooh, I feel so good
Yes, I feel so good, I feel just like ballin' the jack
Got down by the station, suitcase in his hand
My, my baby's comin' home
Lord, don't he look grand?
Yes, I feel so good, I feel just like ballin' the jack
I feel so good, you know I always will
Lord, I feel just like a Jack out with a Jenny
Way down behind the hill
I feel so good, ooh, I feel so good
I feel so good, I feel just like ballin' the jack
Ooh, I got a letter, came to me by mail
My, my baby's comin' home
I hope that he don't fail
I feel so good, ooh, I feel so good, yeah
Yeah, I feel so good, I feel just like ballin' the jack, yeah
In Waldo's song "Feel So Good," the singer is incredibly excited because their loved one, who has been away, is coming back home. They describe receiving a letter in the mail, presumably from the traveler, indicating that the homecoming is imminent. The singer expresses hope that their loved one won't fail them upon their return, but despite this, they feel overwhelmingly positive and are practically bursting with energy. The title phrase, "feel so good," is repeated several times throughout the song, including at the end of each verse and placed front-and-center in the chorus. The chorus also features the line "I feel just like ballin' the jack," which is a reference to a popular dance called the Charleston, specifically a move where dancers cross their legs and kick them out while hopping from foot to foot.
