Goin' Up Yonder
Walter Hawkins & The Love Center Choir Lyrics

Where I'm going?
Where I'm going, soon
If anybody asked you
Where I'm going
Where I'm going soon
I'm goin' up yonder
I'm goin' up yonder
I'm goin' up yonder
To be with my Lord
I'm goin' up yonder
I'm goin' up yonder
I'm goin' up yonder
To be with my Lord
I can take the pain
The heartaches they bring
The comfort in knowing
I'll soon be gone
As God gives me grace
I'll run this race
Until I see my Savior
Face to face
I'm goin' up yonder (goin' up yonder)
I'm goin' up yonder (goin' up yonder)
I'm goin' up yonder (goin' up yonder)
To be with my Lord oh oh
I'm goin' up yonder (goin' up yonder)
I'm goin' up yonder
To be with my Lord
If anybody asked you
Where I'm going
Where I'm going soon
If anybody wants to know
If anybody asked you (anybody asked you)
Where I'm going (where I'm going)
Where I'm going (where I'm going)
Soon
Tell them to be
I'm goin' up yonder (goin' up yonder)
I'm goin' up yonder (goin' up yonder)
I'm goin' up yonder (goin' up yonder)
To be with my Lord oh oh
I'm goin' up yonder (goin' up yonder)
I'm goin', I'm goin' up yonder (goin' up yonder)
I'm goin' up yonder
To be with my Lord
The lyrics to Walter Hawkins's song "Goin' Up Yonder" express a sense of longing for God's presence and a desire to be with Him in heaven. The repetition of "I'm goin' up yonder" reflects the certainty and excitement that the singer feels about being reunited with the Lord. The verses that speak of pain and heartaches highlight the struggles that believers can face in this life, but the comfort of knowing that they will soon be in God's presence makes it all worthwhile. The reference to "running this race" suggests that living a faithful life is a journey that requires perseverance and endurance, but the reward of being with the Savior face to face is worth striving for.
Overall, the song is a celebration of the hope that believers have in Christ and the assurance that they will one day be with Him in eternity. It encourages listeners to hold fast to their faith and have confidence in God's promises even in the midst of life's difficulties. The song has become a beloved gospel classic and is often sung at funerals and other remembrance services as a tribute to those who have passed on to be with the Lord.

@@houstonsweatherkid9324 John11vs23-24-Jesus said to her, Your brother will rise again. Martha said to Him, I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
The last day is the clue!
1Thessalonians4vs16-17-For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet(7th) of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
This is prophecy and has not happened yet!
Read what Job said: Job14v14-If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait, till my change comes.
What change is Job talking about!?
1Corinthians15vs51-52-Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep(be dead), but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet (7th). For the trumpet will sound, and the dead(sleep), will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
You have been taught by the spirit of error(1John3v24), because you don't keep God's commandments!

+Jordan Chatman Just lost my mother 8/29. The Liberators choir from the SF Christian Center came up soon after this album came out, and sang this song. I learned the song, practice it regularly, and sang it at a invite gathering held for her remembrance a few days ago. Mom and I talked about it up until she could not remember it the past six months. The song is a blessing for the saints.
