@Deutschland1093 My friend, this recording was made after Mr. Bieling quit due to problems with his overuse of voice over the years. From Tim Gracyk's website: Bieling quit in mid-1913. His last Quartet record, "Floating Down the River" was recorded in June or July and released in November 1913. He was replaced in late 1913 by Robert D. Armour, a young tenor who had come to New York from his hometown of Mobile, Alabama, in 1909 to pursue a singing career.

Maybe you're right, if you have a catalog. You hear the voice of John Bieling not, his voice is usually turned to see the American Quartet always hear good bar. He has never sung solo, one must also admit that John Bieling not exactly had the best voice. In the song "Put on Your Old Grey Bonnet" you can hear the vocal and the song that the voice sounds very broken.

@Deutschland1093 Are you certain that Mr. Bieling is singing on this recording? I took my information from the official Victor catalogue listing the personnel on this recording, and it also states whether each person is a tenor, baritone, etc.

Yes, its 1914. Bieling left this Quartet 1913. I am stupid, lol.

John Bieling is a tenor, no Robert Armour!
