Demais
Wanessa Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
É bom demais.
Não sai
O gosto, o cheiro,
Teu amor de mim não sai.
Não sai.
Assim, feito rima e canção,
Assim, feito amor e paixão.
Quero te amar
Feito lua e céu,
A criança e o Papai Noel.
Quero te amar,
Sem a dor do seu adeus,
Eu e você, uma oração e Deus.
Demais o teu olhar.
Pra mim é bom demais.
Me faz,
Me faz tão bem te ver assim, querendo mais.
Demais.
Assim, feito sol e vapor,
Assim, feito a tela e o pintor.
In Wanessa's song Demais, the singer expresses her feelings about the intensity of her lover's kiss, taste, and smell. She feels that his love is so ingrained in her that she cannot rid herself of the memory of him. Wanessa describes how her lover's presence makes her feel alive, and their love is akin to a beautiful melody or a poetic verse that she cannot get enough of. She desires to love him with the same innocence and unbridled joy as a child receiving presents from Santa, but with the added assurance of a divine connection.
The lyrics also highlight how the lover's gaze makes Wanessa feel incredibly content, and she longs for more of his affection. Their love is compared to the sun and the mist, and to a painter and their canvas. Through these metaphors, Wanessa illustrates how their relationship is both passionate and tranquil. The song represents the desire to experience a love that is all-encompassing, pure, and secure.
